Try one photo with the item sitting in a window, so U can see thru it.
On my selling ID I have had a couple of items that I photographed with a window behind it.

Get yourself a light tent - plenty on ebay.
These kill stray reflections on the glass.
Make sure it is one with a cover at front with a camera slit (for the lens to poke thru).
Quite a few have a variety of colour backdrops included.
You can set up in open shade on a verandah for adequate diffuse light
If you want to get creative with open lighting expect a steep learning curve!
Glass is one of the hardest things to photograph well.
I've been a professional studio photographer in the past.
I'm Mr Dazzle lol - the wife asked me to respond to this post.
