Photos coloured glass

Hi, any suggestions as to the best way to photograph coloured glass ware such as Murano? All your help appreciated.Thanks in advance.Regards Patricia.

Try one photo with the item sitting in a window, so U can see thru it.

 

On my selling ID I have had a couple of items that I photographed with a window behind it.

Get yourself a light tent - plenty on ebay.

These kill stray reflections on the glass.

 

Make sure it is one with a cover at front with a camera slit (for the lens to poke thru).

 

Quite a few have a variety of colour backdrops included.

 

You can set up in open shade on a verandah for adequate diffuse light

 

If you want to get creative with open lighting expect a steep learning curve!

Glass is one of the hardest things to photograph well.
