What is happening to the postal system lately? I use Ebay postal labels and have been getting several complaints about delivery times.
Packages doing tours around Australia and non deliveries. I am on edge wondering when my buyers are going to get their orders. It is most frustrating, especially when I usually post within 24 hrs of payment.
I know it is not Ebays fault . I am wondering if it anything to do with posting from W.A. to the Eastern states and would welcome some feedback.
The postal service was better 50 years ago. Are there other W.A. posters that have the same problem.

Anything to do with the floods?

Are you using eBay Australia Post labels, or another carrier?
If AP, you would probably be better off opening a MyPost Business account.
If a courier, saving a couple of bucks on postage will often come back to bite you.
Please clarify.

Maybe it is because the parcels are being sent from WA, when (I assume) a lot of your customers are on the east coast.
As twyngwyn said, if items are going into flood affected areas, that could cause delays too.
All I can tell you (I am in Vic) is that the other day I posted a parcel about 11.30am and the recipient (also in Vic metro area) had it next morning, so I was impressed by Australia Post service here.
I do know their service times can vary from area to area. Years ago we had very slow delivery in my suburb. I complained and I suppose a lot of others did too and things did dramatically improve a few months later.

My situation with AP letter delivery is they are held back for up to five days so they can be bundled. That is it's a significant saving to make the one delivery a week . However, for both letters and parcels, has proven very reliable.
