The site map is down the bottom of the page. Look for the section on selling.

You will also have to set up a seller account and an automatic payment method for fees. I would suggest linking your credit card for that, otherwise you will probably find you are restricted to 10 listings per month.

You will pay fees if your items sell. Probably 7.9% of sale price.

If you're not sending using a flat rate method (satchels, Click and Send), use calculated postage and put the packed weight and dimensions. The postage calculator will automatically show the buyer the correct price to their postcode.

You will also (unless you have a merchant credit card account or Paymate) need to upgrade your Paypal account to Premier (free of charge) in order to accept payments.

Paypal fees are generally 30c + 2.4% of the toal price (inc postage) paid through them. Bear that in mind when you're pricing your items.

If you are listing as auctions, start at the minimum price you are prepared to let the item go for - you may only get one bid.

That's a start, but you really need to read up on selling.

There are different ways of posting and below is the main service used.

This is the Australia post postage calculator: http://auspost.com.au/products-and-services/postage-assessment-calculator.html

Depending on the size of your items it may be worth using prepaid satchels $6.60 for up to 500g or $11.40 (I think) for up to 3 kg and there's another for 5kgs but I can't remember what price it is.

If the item is boxed Australia Post will charge you on weight AND cubic measurements, that is, the size of the box - that's where the online calculator is really helpful.

It's a big learning curve and be prepared for a few teething problems but don't let them stop you!

NB: If you ask at your post office they'll give you a postage price book that is pretty comprehensive - and free ๐Ÿ™‚  helps you figure it out when you're not online too . . . .

If you are going to be using pre paid satchels then you may as well use the ebay branded ones which you use through the AP click & send site, as long as you have a printer to print the labels they are cheaper than the red satchels and unlike them have Paypal seller protection as long as you lodge over the counter at the PO.

A long time since they were that. $7.85 single now.

C&S 500g are $6.20 to post plus 15-25c for the satchel, depending on quantity. As pj said, you need a printer to use them, but significantly cheaper and safer than standard satchels.

If you use Click &send you can send boxes at set rates and a  weight of up to 15kg per box.

You can buy the boxes at AP,(the B1 = $1.75,B2 = $2.35 and the B4 = $3.10

They can then be posted via the C & S system for $6.50,$10.50 and $13.25.

For other sizes and different type of boxes you need to use the calculator.
