Who has mentioned to post dvds or cds in an envelope?
You post them in a dvd or cd mailer.
And tracking is for your/seller protection,so if you're not to fussed about loosing money on a cheap item then don't have tracking.
I have all items sent by tracking for my piece of mind.

I've seen a lot of people suggest posting dvds or cds in envelopes to save money rather than using the more expensive satchels suggested by ebay.
I have two questions. I understand it's always best to have tracking for proof but is it compulsory on cheaper items like this? I assume if I take a dvd upto the post office mailed in an envelope they are not going to accept this - so guessing alot of people don't add this?
I use bubble wrap envelopes to send slim line DVD's,(just get a free letter gauge from the Post Office to
make certain that it stays under 20mm thick).
Lastly it appears that the postage options have become limited to what they were originally showing me awhile back. I am missing a lot of the options which don't include tracking, signature. It's only showing the dearer options. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there any way to get the full range showing again?
I have all the options showing,(maybe you've opted into Business policies which will only show the ones that
you've used).
To check on a listing just go to revise it and scroll down to your postage section,(it will state if you have
business policies in place).
Then just click on the back arrow so that the listing stays the same.
Given that I don't have many selections to mark as my method of postage what would be the one to select if I was to post in a standard envelope no tracking?
Just use the Standard Delivery,(1 to 6 days option).
I obviously don't want any issues for stating a different method of postage to what I would use.
Thanks all. New to selling. Appreciate your help.

I sold heaps of pc games (in the original case) sent as a large letter in a padded envelope. $2 postage. There was no tracking, I just put the address on and posted them in a post box. I didn't see the point of paying for tracking for these, as they were second hand cheap items. I didn't have any problems at all.

Just thought I would add. I also have bought many of these, sent to me the same way. I have also bought many other small items in Australia sent this way. It has to be less than 20mm thick, and also not over a certain size envelope.
