I have been trying to create postage labels for my sale items all of which are under 500gms. A few days ago I was able to print a label for my chosen postage option which is Australia Post Parcel Post Parcel, but after that was unable to do it.
Contacting ebay about this issue, I was provided with three different explanations for this on the 3 occasions I had contact with them.
Firstly they told me that my buyer had not completed the checkout process correctly and that's why I couldn't print out the label.
Then I was told that because this is a new feature (ie ebay Postage labels that provide a 10% rebate on postage) not all postage options were available, which is complete rubbish because I'd already managed to purchase one from ebay.
Then they told me that because I had marked the item as paid (after the buyer had paid by Bank Transfer) the buyer was unable to complete checkout.
This is complete 'through the looking glass' stuff and I think I'm just giving up on ebay postage labels.
Anyone else getting problems with this and the run-around from ebay ??

I had a problem yesterday with the ebay postage labels. The buyer paid via Paypal but when I went to my sold list to 'print postage label' the link was missing.
After trying a few things (different browser, clear cache and cookies etc) I rang ebay, got straight through and spoke with a helpful person. However, in the end there was no solution. I was told that it was a known issue. I don't know if it has been fixed as I haven't had another order. I am hoping that it was just a random glitch.
However this is a different problem to yours. I think the problem is that when the buyer pays by bank transfer it is possible to not actually go through checkout so that the system thinks that the item is unpaid. You mark it as 'paid' but somehow this negates the label printing option.

I have the same issue with direct deposit here.
In my common sense, items "marked as paid" = "completed checkout"
Looks like either ebay doesn't have common sense at all or they secretly trying to enforce paypal....
They could get into another class action suit if the latter found to be the reason.

Looks like this problem is still not fixed after 2 years! My buyer paid by direct deposit to my bank account. I marked the item as payment recieved. Then attempted to print the postage label. At the top of the print label page was a message saying that payment hadn't been recieved. The option to print label was 'greyed' out meaning I couldn't print the label. Very frustrating!

If the buyer paid by direct deposit, you won't be able to print a label unless they went through checkout. Even if you mark it as paid. It's dumb but there it is.
I have no explanation why you wouldn't be able to create a label if the buyer paid with paypal. I've never had that problem before.
