Problems with Fastway Couriers

Delivery of items bought under the eBay banner is a vital part of the eBay experience for both buyer and seller – yet remains mostly out of the control of either. Is anyone else having problems with Fastway Couriers, or any other couriers? We have recently had a refusal to deliver to the designated address and the parcel was posted by the Fastway local agent only to end up at the post office who also refused to deliver requiring the receiver to go the PO, sign for the parcel and pick it up themselves. All this despite delivery being paid door to door.

Oh God, I LOVE that show. It's the funniest show EVER!!! Given how politically incorrect it is, I'm surprised it was ever allowed to air. Absolutely LOVE Houso's too. The real houso's tried very hard to get that show stopped.

It's funny, when I've been in the city and see the little courier vans that look like a pregnant rice bubble, I imagine them being Swift & Shift. There'd have to be at least one driver who repeatedly stuffs it up in his fooly schick maaate van.

Share my experience with fastway (read slow or no way) from this week...

My parcel still has not been delivered.  This is after…

1. Being on site for delivery every day this week.

2. The critical aspects of the calling card were illegible. Could not action.

3. Tried to complete the website online card info as encouraged but page malfunctions.

4. Called 1300 327 8929 number as per website but not connected.

5. Google search to call 02 97378288 and was assured it was being delivered. No action except the below email which agin resulted in more no action.

6. Was given the couriers mobile at request (illegible on the calling card). Called and no answer. Sent a text requesting redelivery. Now reply and again, no action.

7. Friday 13 called 02 97378288 again and was put on hold for ages. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused. Told it was being escalated to be delivered that day and I would receive email confirmation. Again no action.

8. By end of Friday October 13 there was no email confirmation or parcel delivered.

Is there anyone at Fastway who actually follows through or cares to deliver (literally). All I’ve had is frustration, nice hollow words and no authenticity i.e. service for what you do. This is Australia - we used to and should still care. If you’re reading this and still one of the 20% who do please help. I’m one of you also.

Best (not just in word)

Dave

Re: Problems with Fastway Couriers

I worked out about a year ago that Australia Post as a common carrier to deliver to residential addresses is far better than Fastway.
Infact my comparison results is AP is about twice as good as FW.
Yes AP sometimes loose parcels, in my case 1 out of 850 parcels, but thats way better than FW. FW is not so much lost parcels, just extremely delayed sometimes and returns are almost 20% due to drivers being lazy.

Re: Problems with Fastway Couriers

Rather than create a new thread, I will just add my misery to this one. I am one of those addresses that Fastway don't deliver to, seems this is approx 75% of Australia. They accept the parcel then it gets as far as Bendigo where it stops dead. They never contact me or the seller. It's only when I start to think 'hmm, that parcel should have been here by now' that I investigate, only to find out it's with Fastway. I then have to submit enquiries, harass them on Facebook & ring the Bendigo depot. Then I have to email them to advise of an alternative drop off point.

I have only today, received something that was sent 3 1/2 weeks ago. I then ask a seller about an item & she says, 'it left ages ago, I can't imagine what the hold up is, it's with Fastway' I could have shot myself then & there. Here we go again.

Surely there must be somewhere I can report this company to? Their inability to deliver is beyond ridiculous. I have read pages of comments by upset people & appalling online reviews.

It's got to the point, everytime I buy something I need to contact the seller & say 'hey, just in case you were thinking of using Fastway couriers, please don't'

Rant over

Re: Problems with Fastway Couriers

Thats a good suggestion to contact the seller before they send..

But why do we have to do this..isn't there somewhere we can make a formal complaint.. I am going through the same pain.

1. Stayed home but they say, they missed the delivery.

2. Tracking shows they left a note... but a lie.. no note in the mailbox

3. Have been 3 days that I have escalated and they seek sending me email everyday that they haven't forgotten me

Couriers in 3rd world contries are better than them. How are they even allowed to operate?

Re: Problems with Fastway Couriers

Ive seen fastways drive past my house atleast once a week and they still continue to refuse to deliver my parcel, because i live "out of town" so they leave it at the post office for me to collect, its frustrating knowing ive paid extra to have it delievered to my house then to have them refuse, the worse part for me was waiting on urgent medical supplies for my sick father, they had in the depot for over a week and had not even called to let me know it had arrived. When i finally learnt they had my parcel i copped abuse about how they will not deliver it and if they had to i could have to wait another week. They are always rude and unprofessional, when they are forced to deliver parcels to big to leave at the post office they complain the whole time and make me feel so small. Such a shame 7 years after the original post this continues.

Re: Problems with Fastway Couriers

apart from refusing to buy anything where i know fastway is the courier now - if i was in your position and it was something essential, i'd find someone else to deliver  it (especially important medical supplies) as there is simply no way you can guarantee anything with fastway. there's no method of communication to directly contact any local facility and emails submitted often don't get responded until after the parcel has been delivered - even if that's a week, two weeks or 3 weeks later.
