i'm guessing the eastern states have better service when it comes to Fastway tippy. i live in perth and an item which was coming via Fastway was marked as "Delivered" but i saw no sign of it. arrived 5 business days later.
in the interim i'd contacted their customer service team and i'm yet to hear back from them - that was almost 10 days ago now.

Eastern states, better deal hahahahaha
I bought an item wheret the seller clearly had an Auspost decal on the pic.
Imagine my surprise when I found it had been handed over to Fastway!
I certainly wouldn't have bought it had I known, and my displeasure will be shown.
Do Fastway have their own Chullora/Sunshine West?
My parcel has taken 7 days (including the weekend) to get from receipt in Sydney
to Tamworth where it's been sitting.
That's North, folks.
I'm in Melbourne!
edit: LM, get your seller to do the tracking down. It's their fault for using the rotten company.

unfortunately stawks, it wasn't an ebay purchase - and the place just said "we use multiple delivery partners depending on the country" - they were as useless as fastway when it came to customer service.
i'm the same - if i know anyone is using fastway, i simply won't buy from them - but sometimes it's difficult internationally because they'll send via a reputable service and then fastway takes over in AUS - which once i find out, i never use that place again.
nevertheless, i did get the parcel (albeit very late) - just no response to the customer service request..
reason i said i thought the eastern states must be better for fastway is there's some people who've commented here who say they use them regularly and never have a problem.

I'll weigh in here if I may.
There appears to be different levels of service for Fastway.
I have never in my life had a good experience with them when the goods are from ebay sellers who mainly use them for their cheap prices, which also equates to poor service.
A few years ago I started dealing with a medical company in Queensland and my heart sunk when I discovered that they used Fastway.
However, I have nothing but praise for the service. I usually place my order on a Sunday afternoon and it is delivered to my door in Sydney very early on Tuesday morning.
The only difference between the services is that the Queensland company allows the customer to authorise a safe drop when the order is placed while the ebay seller wants a signature from the customer.

The last time an ebay seller had the Auspost decal, I bought.
Then I find out it's with Fastway. The last day of estimated delivery, tracking said
it was lodged at a parcel pick up point.
I'd never heard of that, and it didn't even say where!
There was no attempt at delivery I was home sitting 5 feet away from the front door.
I wasn't even carded. Which means they didn't even come here.
I complained to the seller. He followed up with Fastway and they'd dumped it
3 suburbs away. I had to get someone with a car to pick it up.
Would have been easier, quicker and cheaper to pick it up from the seller.
We're both in Melbourne.
Do I have to message every ebay seller I want to buy from to find out who they use for delivery?
Cos that sucks more than a $10 'lady of the night'

Tracking update. AGAIN they've delivered it to a parcel point 3 suburbs away!
No card, no attempt at delivery.
Now I have to get someone to go and pick it up.
Seller will bear the brunt of a foolish move to Fastway.

I know what you mean about the parcel point drop offs Stawks.....they are a real rort.....and the big boss at Fastway knows what I think of it too.
I had never heard of it until I received a notice that I had to pick up a parcel from my "nearest" parcel point.....many suburbs away and nearly a half hour drive.
Like you, I never had a knock at the door.
I rang very early the next morning to request a redelivery as I had no way of getting to the parcel point to collect it. The phone was answered by a well spoken gentleman who was very pleasant but said that as I had not answered the door I would just have to pick it up.
I saw red at that as there had been no knock at the door at all....and I unleashed my considerable fury and told him a thing or two about the Fastway (lack of) service, along with the fact that I did know a bit about customer expectations of courier delivery having worked in the industry.
By the end of the conversation he had promised to get the parcel delivered to my door by close of business that day, even though I said I was quite happy for next day delivery.
Throughout the day I kept getting phone calls from various phone operators telling me of the progress of the parcel or asking if I had received it yet. Not long after it was finally delivered I received a call from the Customer Service Manager asking if I had the parcel and was happy.
I assured her that I was more than happy and commented that I had received excellent service after my early morning call. Her reply was that things did tend to happen when disgruntled customers spoke to the managing director. I was gobsmacked to put it mildly and said so. Apparently the MD used to come in early on occasions and take some of the early phone calls before the phone operators started work.
This was very much a case of going to the top (even unintentionally) and the most vocal customer getting the best service.

Lyndal, they haven't upped their game, so I'm taking it out on the seller for falsely
advertising that they use Aus post.
It's a mobility item, and so I shouldn't have to pick it up. The point of shopping online is to the door delivery.
I have messaged the seller my displeasure, and if I get no response they'll get a red dot,
telling people they use Fastway, not Auspost.
I haven't engaged in any blackmail for fb.

I think you should also put your complaint in writing to Fastway too. I doubt that one complaint will see any change but the more the merrier I say.
After all this time Idon't think Fastway will ever change their game.....this parcel point is appalling as they are so few and far apart that they are really useless. At least if a parcel is left at the PO it is not too far to go to pick it up.

From my Product Review of Fastway:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I purchased a mobile 'phone via Ebay on the 20th. 22nd of March the parcel was collected by a Fastway courier. The tracking showed on the morning of the 23rd it was in transit between Melbourne and Adelaide.....
Where it still is! I could have walked to Melbourne and back by now. Asking Fastway where it is, is similar to asking a brick wall a question.
Where's my parcel Fastway?
It has now been 8 days - your website states it takes 2 days from Melbourne to Adelaide. I have suggested to the Ebay seller he avoids Fastway at all costs.
Not a company I would recommend to anyone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easter came and went and still no reply from Fastway either on Product Review nor as a direct inquiry as to where my parcel is and when I can expect it to be delivered. Late afternoon today (3rd April), I had a call from a different company asking about the address and once clarified stating that it will be delivered tomorrow - 2 weeks after purchase.
I will now be asking sellers if they use Fastway - and if they do, will not buy from them. Fastway is not a company I would recommend nor support in ANY way.
