I am currently very annoyed with Fastway couriers. They have been holding 2 parcels for me, as a customer, at their local depot for almost a week because they do not deliver to my address. I tracked them today. They had not notified me. And I want the packages for christmas. Now I have to go and pick them up at the depot, which is over 45km away. Just thought I should put the warning out, in case others are having the same problems. I think the reason I am so annoyed is because if they don't deliver to my address then why did they accept the job of delivering to my address in the first place? I asked her that on the phone and she said they hadn't accepted the job yet. I felt like saying "Then how did you get my parcels?' But I didn't because I just want my parcels, not an argument. I recently ordered a bunch of stuff on ebay. In my experience Australia Post has been fantastic. (Just to let sellers know.) And if its with Fastway, then check the depots if things don't turn up. That's all.

Utterly enfuriating. Claimed delivery but not received. We were home. Took 10 days to anser my "where is my parcel?". They claimed "left by garbage bin". They ought to be left IN a garbage bin. Was not delivered. I wonder if LSD is compulsory medication for their drivers.

@manuelabour, I would never expect a parcel to arrive by the date an online site told me, I would always give it a few extra days and then contact the seller. In the real world, anything can and does happen. Trains derail in the mddle of nowhere between states, trucks break down, parcels get lost and found again and Xmas time creates a huge surge 3 months leading up to the big day. I have a friend who works as a truck driver for the AP depot parcel crates and he was telling me at a Halloween party back in October about how parcel deliveries have been going crazy since the start of that month and everyone is working overtime and on weekends to try and get things delivered. It must have been so much worst in December!
@gwind55, that would make me very annoyed too. That's a long way to drive to get something you paid to have delivered to you. Basically you'll have to spend all day driving there and back in today's busy traffic and traffic signals everywhere! I wonder if you can contact eBay about that and get some kind of compensation, might be worth asking. The most they can do is say no.
@countessalmirena, I agree about StarTrack. I see my local guy going around here in his blue van somewhere almost every day and he works real hard, always leaves the parcels out of view from the road, never broken anything, and is a nice guy with a smile.

And soon you will not be able to tell StarTrack from Australia Post.
In their wisdom the big bosses at AP have decided that Blue Post will soon be defunct. In the New Year all vans will be rebadged in Red and the drivers will get new uniforms.
What a waste of money....the drivers have had 3 different uniforms in as many years....all because the bigwigs cannot make up their mind.

Fastway is not owned by ebay.....far from it. They seem to have a finger in every pie.
The service most of the courier brokers such as Sendle and even do work for Officeworks.
IMO they have too much work to be able to service it properly.

Maybe it is because half the country is on fire. Including Tasmania.
I know no mail went out of Canberra on Friday or Saturday. Mainly because the Hume Highway was shut and they couldn't get it anywhere anyway. Why would couriers be different? They demonstrably don't have the technology to teleport things.
Fastway is not eBay's courier company. They have a deal with Sendle, but it is generally the seller's choice as to how they send things.

And how will you know?
I have never seen a seller with the name of the courier they are using and if they use Sendle they will not even know which company is being used....it is often Fastway but not always.

If a seller is filling in their postage details correctly, it should say which carrier they're using under the 'Postage and payments' tab.

Really? I see them all the time - just had a quick look in my purchase history for this month and found a couple that came via Star Track Express, and that was made clear in the listing before I purchased.

Perhaps a good reason to avoid Sendle, in that case.
