Promoted Listing September 2019 update

My sales are about average; as they always are. Most of my competition is UK dropshippers, so I don't feel any need to sink to their pricing level nor pay extra to have my items 'promoted'.

Nope, my sales only dropped off a cliff on the 5th of September, and it looks like eBay will get $4 in fees from me for this month.

Terrible. This is the worst patch I've had in 11 years.

Yes, down about 11.5% on previous month.  Previously we were having our normal listings + promoted listings, i.e. double exposure & now it is only normal listings or promoted.  Most buyers opted for the normal listings previously so cost of the promoted was very little.

Promoted Listing September 2019 update

I tried promoted listings on most of my listings in one of my stores, but didnt notice any change in sales so havnt gone on with it.

I suspect the promoted listings are most suited to generic items where you are competing against other sellers. Most of my items are one offs, so buyers either need them or they dont.

As for sales, they are fluctuating a bit but the general trend is up substantially, with this month around 25% better than corresponding period last year. Most of the increase is a result of international sales which are up dramatically due to the low aussie dollar. Australian sales are falt lining to soft.
