Hi, I have reached the 100 item limit. I have 4 positive feedbacks and I have sold 3 more items. I want to request another 100 items the same month I opened - this month. I want to list them this weekend.
Now this is the thing I am confused about. I paid $20 a month for 200 listings, if I request another 100 will those listings be free as I would have a total of 200 listings which is advertised as free on Ebay for a store each month.
Thanks.

You are correct. All new accounts have a listing limit of 10. Linking to an established, high feedback account can see you lifted to 30 a month (or 50 as it seems some have got).
The OP would be far better doing as suggested and opening a non store ID. Pointless paying for something you can't use. That way he could also use the free relists. He could run some as auction (starting at the lowest he's prepared to accept for the item) and the rest as BIN's. That covers all bases as some people still prefer to buy things at auction, even specialty items.
Sadly, I think despite all the excellent advice here, the OP will still open another store thinking he can increase his limits to get what he's paying for. I think that would be absolutely crazy because he'll be giving eBay money for jam.
OP, it doesn't matter what you do at this point YOU CAN'T INCREASE YOUR LIMIT TO GET WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR. It doesn't work that way. You are not going to leave school and walk straight into a job as a CEO. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up, just like we all had to do.

You're right Bake. A new id will only get 10 listings
But OP won't give up until they've exhausted all of us avenues

I was exploring options.
I am going to wait 45 days, and then call them to ask for another 50 listings, and use the other 50 for sales.
so 150 listing, and 50 sales for the month.
That might work
Still within a 200 framework.

If you get your limit raised by 50 to 150 and you have 50 sales, you won't get those 50 as listings again.
The 50 sales comes out of your 150 total.
In other words you only get 150 total, whether you have sales or not.
So if you list 150 for the month and sell 50 in the first week, you have 100 listings still up and cannot list anymore.
Hope that's clear.

It's been explained so many times to him Kopes and either he still doesn't understand, or he refuses to accept it. He needs to accept there is no way of getting around the limits. You can't buy them, you can't demand them, you can't create more by spending more on a store. I think it's absolutely fantastic that a new seller is coming here asking for advice, so they can hopefully avoid making the same mistakes we all made at some point, but not if they either don't listen, or refuse to accept it.
100 listing limit for month. 100 items listed in one form or another. 10 items sell on 2nd of the month. 90 items still listed. 90 listings, + 10 sold = 100. Try to list a new item sorry, you have reached your listing limit for the month.
New month arrives, 90 items still listed. Seller is now allowed to list 10 new items. 90+10=100. 20 items sell, 80 items still listed. 20+80=100. Try to list a new item sorry, you have reached your listing limit for the month.
If nothing sells this month and 100 listings are active on the 1st of next month YOU CAN'T LIST ANY MORE FOR THAT MONTH. NONE. Not one, not 50, not 100. Absolutely none. It doesn't matter how many you have left from your 200 freebies, you CAN'T use them. Even if you sell 5 items, you can't list any more that month.
I think when you get down to 20 spare listing spots, you get a message above the congratulations your item is listed for sale page saying you can only list X more items this month. Once you list X more items, THAT'S it.

I understand what you are saying,
Ok, so stay with the basic store till I can get a listing increased after say 90 days.
Now, the basic store - if I have 100 listed items, I can only sell 100 items in that month (200 limit) - more than 100 sold will reduce my 100 listings listed.
So, best thing to do is get reputation and go to the next store level as I need to list more items individually right?
I have about 500 items to list and I want to sell about 100 a week.
so, that is my goal.
The next store up fits that mold..
Am I on the right track here...
Many thanks.
Please no sarcasm.

Yes, I considered multivariation listings.
I just really need to get out there and list all my items.
I guess i am stuck with only being able to list 100 items for the next 90 days at least =(
i will sell more than 100 per month easy, just got to list the diff ones.

If you had 100 items listed and sold all 100 of them, with your limit of 100 then you will not be able to list anything further until next month as the 100 sold items are using up your limit of 100. So your active listings would be ZERO for the remainder of that month. And with nothing active you will certainly not sell any more that month.
Remember that in any one month period the limit is the sum of your active listings PLUS any items sold in that month. So if these two add up to 100 then you cannot list any more items for sale. As each item sells it goes onto the sold list and you cannot replace it with a new active listing as to do so would be exceeding your selling limit.
So while you have this 100 selling limit you simply cannot sell any more than 100 in a month.
If at some point they agree to lift it to 500 then that becomes your new monthly limit.
Then you could in theory selll up to 500 items in a month, but no more.
