Hi all....I recall reading on the boards during the last few months that some sellers were having problems with SOLD items being RE-LISTED, by eBay....whether a technical glitch, or something to do with the multiple-item clock not working.
Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have the link to the thread?
It has happened to me several times now, and I am still going through my listings....unable to work it out
Thanks

I had a few listings drop into unsold recently but I was sure that at least one of them had sold out. It showed as 1 still available in unsold but when I opened the ended listing it showed as 2 sold and 0 available. I checked another one and it showed as 5 available in unsold but when I opened the ended listing it showed as 2 sold and 6 available.
I did the first step of a bulk relist and the item I'd sold out of would have relisted with 2 available, not just the 1 showing in Unsold. It'd be easy to relist a sold item without realising it. Of course, if we end up selling something we don't have, we get the defect but it was ebay's defective system that caused it.
Does this mean we have to check every single listing before we do a bulk relist? An item that I'd sold out of shouldn't have been ending up in Unsold at all.

Great! I am already checking every listing once every couple of weeks for missing photos (Yes! That bug is still happening). What's another check for incorrect stock level? So happy to stocktake everything and add photos every two weeks.

Makes me thankful I don't have multiples of hardly anything. Almost all of my ~800 lisitngs are one-offs.

One-offs can still end up in unsold and get relisted without you realising you've sold them. It's happened to other people.
@ melbourneclearance, are your listings on GTC? From what I've read I believe it's only GTC listings that have lost the extra photos (all except the first one), but I could be wrong on that. If they're GTC then hopefully the stock levels won't change because they won't ever end up in unsold and need to be relisted, unless you sell out of something and it needs to be relisted when you restock. I did think about putting everything on gtc and letting ebay take care of itself while I concentrate my efforts elsewhere!

Yes - I realise that - I think I have mentioned it has happened twice to me over the years. But at least it is not as big a problem as you seem to have simply because I don't have multiples of most things.

Yes, all my listings are GTC and I think (not 100% sure here) the disappearing photos are the ones from the camera, i.e. big sizes. If the photos have been reduced in size or are from a mobile phone (small) then they seem to stay.
I did have some GTC listings end up in Unsold months ago. But as far as I can see it has not happened since.
Just to add to the communal ebay bashing, I had one listing that I couldn't edit. After weeks of back and forth with ebay (they could replicate it but could not offer solution), they told me to delete and relist the listing because it was "too old". The listing was from 2013, and bye bye to 200+ sales history.

I'm sure I had one last month, but asked my buyer to choose another item (and not worry about the cost)....they were happy to do so
