I was wondering if it just me or whether over the last few months others have experienced a general drop in interest and sales. It could be that this is just the case for my sort of merchandise (new and used designer wear for women) or maybe its true across the board.
I used to have quite a 'following' of repeat buyers and its also possible that since I had a break in selling for a month, while on a trip overseas, those 'followers' who had me as a favourite seller dropped off.
I guess there are lot of variables at work here but there is no doubt that I don't get the same number of watchers as I used to and my final selling prices are significantly lower.
Just interested to hear whether others have had any similar experience.

Just look at how the discussion boards have quietened down over the last few months and you'll have your answer.

@toasty_toes wrote:My sales are down as well. I don't understand it as we sell childrens winter tights and no one else on Ebay sells comparable product as cheap as us and we rank highly on Ebay.
6 weeks ago we couldn't get stock quick enough and were selling loads every day. The school holidays are over now, so we expected sales to pick up again but they haven't.
Just don't understand why sales have not picked up.
Toasty Toes, you have had answers on the thread you started.
Have you taken into account that winter is half over here in Australia and at least in Sydney we have already had several weeks of above average temperatures.
My granddaughters have hardly worn their winter tights and there is no way my daughter would be buying them any more this late in the season.

I think your photos are fine and the swimwear looks really good. I just think swimwear is a tricky thing to sell as everyone comes in different shapes and sizes. Have you thought of selling additional items like beach coverups and other beach accessories ie. beach sandals, ladies beach hats etc that might help. Good luck and hope your sales improve! Also like the name of your store, a good pick!

wow, very good idea. i think i will try to sell these things you suggest, but i do need a warehouse for all these things. garage is not big enough. i am wondering how much i have to pay for renting a warehouse, or a storage. someone mentioned dropshipping, but it seems not easy fo rme. thanks again.

No problems superocean, happy to help. Maybe even look at trying facebook (in addition to ebay) as lots of sellers are creating a business page and selling there and even a website. Also put links/information on your selling pages to let your customers know you also sell elsewhere. I've recently brought two items from ebay and had sellers letting me know about their website and how they have a facebook page and also letting me know they sell things on their website a little cheaper. In any case.... that information worked because I was then curious to have a look at both the website and facebook and have since liked their facebook pages and will keep them in mind in the future if I need something. I think this is the way to go these days.... you can't keep your eggs in one basket especially how social media is going these days. good luck!
