Same Computer, different accounts.

My wife and I use the same computer but have different Ebay usernames, email and PayPal accounts, and separate Ebay bills.

In the past Ebay allowed us to post auctions separately. Now when my wife tries to sell it switches automatically to my account. Why?

I don't think it is the ISP addy - my daughter uses the same and doesn't seem to have a problem.

Although I have used all my 40 free posts this month I don't think it has been an issue in the past.

No settings have been changed. Is there a new Ebay policy causing this?

I have found it's easier to have a separate ISP for each Ebay I.D. ,does away with the

continual overlapping your experiencing ,in the early days I found that extremely frustrating. JMO.

Use different browsers, eg Firefox for one, and google chrome for the other, I advise not to use IE, as it is the least popular browser for ebay.

Are you both on your own internet user accounts or is your wife on your internet account when she tries to sell?

Shypansy is right, I use separate browsers for my buying and selling accounts, without dramas.  Heck I can have both open on the same compu at the same time that way 🙂

I was I Thailand 3 weeks ago for  a weeks holiday  and I used a friends laptop

I just re-listed a few items while I was over there

the next day my ebay account was suspended until I provided proof

of my identity even thou I  have been a ebayer for over 10 years

it was panic stations as ild lost all my listing 150 items plus all records of what had been sold

I was gutted it took 5 days to get back my account and many hours of re listing all my items

they never did explain why my account was suspended after many emails nothing from them even to this day I still don't know why it happened

I can only guess it was because I was using someone elses computer in another country

I too use multiple accounts and usually have at least accounts open at the same time, all using different browsers. It saves having to log in and out and getting so confused I end up posting with my selling id :^O

If your browser keeps bouncing you back to one account just clear your cache and cookies and don't tick the box to remain logged in on either of the ids.
