Be Aware Sellers, I have had to refund 4 people back in the last week , I very rarely have to refund as my record is good, I am noticing a pattern as people have lost their jobs due to Covid 19 and need money buyer are saying item has not been delivered and them folow the prompts for a claim, as a general rule it might be a good idea to send all parcels and small letter types tracked to dismiss them doing so...or what's the point, sell one item and give money back to another.....

I only send with tracking to avoid them saying they never received it.

I generally always send with tracking, even if it puts my prices up. It's just not worth the risk anymore. I feel for people who sell games and dvd's, anything electronic is high risk. Good to remind sellers to be careful though. I'm wondering what will happen when packages start getting stolen from doorsteps, 'safe drops'. There's no such thing as a safe drop. Thieves only have to follow the delivery truck

That's disturbing if it's a real thing. Not much point me using tracking. None of my competitors do, and when my average item price is about $9.00 with $2.70 postage, asking over $9-10 postage to get a tracked parcel would mean no sales. I usually spring for it if it's over around $40.

We have a buyer in Darwin who opened a ND case one day after the Australia Post estimated delivery period. It was untracked but we suspect they received the item, reading between their words. I checked their Feedback to discover they had left 20 negatives about late delivery in the last year.
Some sellers just rolled over and gave a refund. I have no doubt the buyer takes advantage of untracked orders and has a pattern of scamming. She will not respond back and I reported her history to eBay.

After posting this I sent notes to all of the customers whose orders semed to be overdue. I advised them that the mail was running slowly, and asked if they could let me know when the items turned up. More than half of them reported the items had just arrived, and one other customer thanked me for contacting them and said they weren't stressed about waiting a bit longer.
Best of all I got some nice feedback. It came across more as me being thoughtful and following up with customers.
I'm going to stick with my belief that I ssem blessed with an unusually reasonable customer base. I've only been negged once, and that was about 20 years ago.

Our SCAMMING buyer in Darwin was just given a $40 refund by eBay despite reporting him for a history of opening ND cases against sellers when items were one day late past the eBay postage time guidelines.
The buyer unleashed a tirade of abuse at me when I called them out and he admitted to his SCAM, but disgraceful eBay let him get away with it again... so much for reporting abusive buyers.
