Bought a Treadmill of a HUGE seller in the fitness section last year.Broke down after working great for 6 months typical i guess for china made products..i got busy and left it for a few months to do something about and checking yesterday they seem to have shut up shop,no items for sale yet the ID isnt unregistered as yet.

Have sent a message but i dont expect a reply.

I just find this wrong thay have sold thousands and thousands of different equipment and when they start breaking down they just leave..Is this typical and does this happen often for sellers selling china made equipment?

BTW this one was a sydney based warehouse selling china made equipment not actually buying straight from china..

What are my options?less than 1 year old and still under warranty(well is meant to be)

If they don't respond & they are an Australian registered business with an abn & you bought the treadmill as a buy it now & not an auction, you could TRY contacting Fair Trading.

Other than that, you may just have to either put it down to experience or pay for it to be repaired out of your own pocket sorry.

I can't think of anything you can do due to timeframe.

If you know the address of the warehouse you could go there!  See them face to face.  Take any supporting documentation like receipts, courier dockets etc to show it is still covered by warranty (I'm presuming you picked the item up OR it was delivered by courier).

I agree with leader of the band as you are also in Sydney go and see them or if that is not convenient what about ringing them.  If you have their name and address look up their phone number and ring them

hey scotty*75,

if that is the case that your seller has been unresponsive to you.. then you can always ring them if you want to.

all you have to do as to contact customer support and inform them about this, they will be happy to process a contact information swap for you. That swap will contain the contact details of the seller so that you can ring him.

just provide the item number and the seller's user ID to customer support and they will be happy to help you out about that. :)))

Just checked my ebay messages and found the phone number, has been disconnected and no response to  message sent..

I know the street and suburb but i know the warehouse will be empty and pointless going over there.

Sales have been few last few months  seems they have sold off the last of their stock.

i remember they had 2 IDS selling at once at their prime last year  though dont know the other one and assume that dried up too.

Shall put it down to expierience i guess thanks for the replies..
