I have great feedback (100%) but hadn't used eBay for a while as I have been a caregiver to my parents for over 4.5 years. My parents have now passed and it's time to sell a lot of their goods, however eBay is only allowing me to sell 1 thing a month, for $10 or less. This is ridiculous - what can I do? I have tried requesting a limit increase, have tried ringing them, and have also tried emailing. I am at my witt's end, I want to get this done so we can move on. Thank you for your help

It seems to be a glitch at the moment. A number of people have had the same thing happen. All you can do is keep badgering eBay via the live chat.
Sorry about your parents. I can't imagine how hard it is for you.

Thank you so much, especially for your kind words.
I hadn't thought of live chat - I'll keep doing that 🙂
Thanks again

I'm very sorry about your loss.
The whole process of disposing of a loved one's belongings after death is upsetting enough without having selling limit issues.
Because you haven't sold for some time, eBay will have now classed you as a new seller, and they imposed those limits as risk mitigation for them.
Emailing eBay will be useless. Don't even bother with it.
The best thing you can do is to use Live Chat.

As advised, use live chat. and request a seller limit increase, note it is at ebays discretion if they allow an increase before you reach certain seller criteria, so be polite.
As you have not sold for awhile, ebay see you as a new seller and as such restrictions are applicable. You will also have a 21 day hold placed on your sales funds, until you meet certain criteria.
Note as you have not sold fo awhile, you will find selling on ebay has vastly changed since your last sale, so It will pay to update yourself on the current policies etc.

The frustrating thing is, in the recent past, if you had a listing limit of say 200, if you didn't sell for awhile, your limit would stay at 200. You'd only find that you had a 21 days funds held by PayPal for 90 days, or until you could prove yourself as being a good seller again. Now for some reason, they are cutting people back to a limit of 1, with something like a $10 limit.
The only reason I can think of is to stopped scammers hijacking accounts and listing 50 scam items to rip people off. If the scammers can only list 1 item valued at no more than $10, it won't stop them, but it could slow them up a bit.
As I said, get onto live chat tomorrow and try and get your limit increased. It might take a few goes, but you should be able to do it, going by what other members have said when they were in the same boat.

Dear Tippy Toes
Thank you very much for your assistance. I was able to get onto eBay live chat just now, and they eventually increased by limits. What a relief - I am very grateful that you replied to my message.
Thanks again
Donna

That makes sense - I had wondered why they imposed the limits. Thanks again
