ok.. will put it into my listings..
I know my numbers are ok... but it seems to not take much to make them drop and in a competitive environment where algorithms set your place in the listings you need to watch them closely.

If you don't already, you can also message them to say when you'll be posting and in the same message do as said by apologising in advance if postage takes longer because of your location. Most people who read your message, as long as everything else is alright, should understand and hopefully give you 5 stars with that in consideration.

Item as described 4.990.00% (0)
Communication 4.980.00% (0)
Postage time 4.930.00% (0)
Postage and handling charges 4.940.00% (0)
For what it's worth - here's my figures: I do 2 mail-runs per day and live in a capital city....since 'freepost' came along, my postage time has taken a nose-dive & this is the best I can get...go figure??

the postage TIME star is supposed to be for how long it took the seller to POST the item, not how long aust post took to deliver it, however most buyers (especially those that are not also sellers) do not realize that!!!!
~~ ~~ ~~ Those who do right, have nothing to fear.

If you did that you might get your COMMUNICATION numbers down for sending too many email notifications!
You can't win ๐ฎ
As I am in WA every buyer is sent an email explaining that express post takes a few days or regular post takes 7 - 10 days from WA and I have 5 stars for communication.
I receive numerous emails back thanking me for letting them know.

The postage time star needs to be renamed. Not sure to what, but too many buyers think it means exactly what putney said - How long it takes to ARRIVE.
If Australia Post's click and send website can automatically add tracking numbers, it would be brilliant if they could automatically give star ratings once parcels have been scanned too!

I think that is a great idea... click and send should mean instant 5 stars for postage.

Do you have your handling time set as 1 day. I think free post+ 1 day handling greys out that option (but I might be wrong).
Do you use C & S and if it sells say fri eve do you process payment, and hence get it marked as sent that day, even though its not going anywhere until monday? Buyers will compare date marked posted with date purchased. Also arrival time vs whats estimated by ebay, so getting that greyed out is best.
Do you street box lodge for sunday evening collection rather than wait for monday morning?
I always do a postal run for last collection in street box 6.30pm (nearest to me) rather than carry it over until next day.
If I cant get it in post with 24 hours i contact them and let them know, with apologies.

Not unless there is an in transit or lodgement scan within 24 hours. You can C & S, which marks as posted then take another week to put it in street box, no one could ever tell

I think the mark down might have been from an older sale that only just put up feedback recently...
I have a post office that is open 7 days a week.. I can go in any day and get them to scan in my c&s parcel.... often during the week I will go into town and get them to process it as the pickup is at 2;30pm so if I miss that it won't go until the next day on a weekday..
But on a weekend I will get them to scan it in...
