Here is a little tip for those of you that havent realised it yet.
If you have a Basic Store, be aware that your subscription to Selling Manager Pro is about to be changed from FREE to $9.95/month. I dont recall seeing any email about this fee change anywhere. I would recommend all of you with a Basic Store to check your current subsription and make the change to the plain old Selling Manager if you dont want or need another sneaky ebay fee slapped onto your monthly account. Cheers.

Where have you seen info that we will be charged for SMP?
SMP is still free according to the new fees schedule for Stores.

Go to My ebay --> Account --> Subscriptions --> SMP Change Level
Have a look there. I noticed that the price had changed from free to $9.95/month so I changed back to the standard version.
This may only be for sellers with a Basic Store.

I think it's always listed $9.95 there as the monthly fee for SMP but if you have a store subscription then it is free.
I have a Basic Store and if you look at your monthly invoice right down the bottom it shows no charge for SMP.
Selling Manager Pro: Subscription Fee
Savings of -AU $9.95 included

Well, I hope you are right then. I have noted on my invoices it has had the savings on there.
But I have looked at my subscriptions in the past and it said free for store subscribers, but now it says $9.95. Maybe they were hoping to just slip this past everyone before they realised.
I will ring them in a minute to find out for sure and post here what they tell me. Until then I have gone back to the free version so I dont get charged.

I think the way it is, is that there has always been a fee of $9.95 for SMPro.
It's just that when you open a basic store they give you a rebate of $9.95 each month against the cost of SMPro.
So I don't think its ever been advertised as FREE. Just rebated under certain conditions.
At least that's how I've always understoood it.
We too, will not be happy if they take that away from us,

I'm fairly sure that sportandplay is correct. When I subscribed, it said it costs $9.95 and I had to double-check with eBay to confirm that it would be free for my basic store.
One would hope they would send a warning email about this if it is no longer free. But you never know...

Hi there,
Did you get a chance to ring & if so, what was the response please ? I checked in the 'current fees' and it says
"Things to note about Store subscription fees:
eBay Store Package subscriptions are charged monthly and include a free subscription to Selling Manager Pro."
But we all know, things can change and often do . . . . . . . . . . .

Hi.
I did ring themand spent 40 minutes on the phone. When I asked the Call Centre about the fee for SM Pro they said I would be charged for it. So I asked them if they were sure and they said they werent sure but to wait and see if I get charged on my next invoice!! I told them to go ask if anyone else in the call centre knew what was going on and after much backwards and forwards and being put on hold and transeferred around, I was told that I probably wont get charged for it as I have a store. LOL.
Its no wonder we arent sure whats going on when the ebay staff dont even know.
