Selling Multiple Items on One Listing

I've been buying on eBay on & off since 1999 but I only put up my first sale recently.  I just sold two concert tickets which i could no longer use. I listed both tickets on the same listing so buyers could either 1) buy both together, or 2) just buy one.

Well, I sold one ticket each to two separate buyers, and now one of them has contacted me asking why they only received one ticket in the mail...they said I advertised the listing as "2x paul mccartney tickets".

I was selling 2 tickets in the same listing but the buyers had to fill in the quantity they wanted, but this buyer only bought one. And I've already sold the other ticket. She thought it was $240 for two, not $240 each. Did I falsely advertise the listing? Any advice?

There's only a week to the concert so there's probably no time for me to try to resell the ticket.

Sorry - I was looking at a different listing when I posted the above, but I found the one you mentioned, which the seller has now ended without selling.

If they're selling 2x $220 tickets as one lot & not separately why isn't the price listed as $440. And there's a choice in the quantity box to choose 1 or 2...it says "there are 2 items available". How can there be 2 items available when they're selling 2 tickets as one item?

I understand that if the title said "100x White Enevelopes" that would probably mean you're getting 100 white envelopes as one item...And not that they have 100 envelopes available and you can only buy one envelope as 1 item (whoever heard of buying one envelope?)

But I think concert tickets would be different. I realise now I should never have put "2x" in my title. Maybe I should've put them on separate listings. Or to be bought together as one lot of 2 tickets for $480 (or less).

Yes I just discovered they've ended that listing.

The bottom line is that you made a mistake with your listing and also the other seller has it all wrong as well so if they jumped of a bridge would you?

Of course you wouldn't so don't ever copy someone else's listings, list it your way.

And if you sell 2 x tickets in the title then that means that and you should never add the quantity unless you say 1 x ticket and you have 2 to sell seperately

I now realise my mistake but I had no experience selling anything - let alone concert tickets - which is why I copied someone else's listing. Well, at least I'll know better next time. Thanks!
