Serial Scammer

I had a very bad experience with a scammer, looking at his feedback he has a history of claiming "item not received" and "quantity less than ordered" to many sellers. In my case, I had both type of claims from him from different transactions and end up losing a lot of money.

It's safe to say he is a serial scammer. PM me if you want to know more.

Save the tips on how to report him to ebay, I don't have the time and energy to waste on... I just want to help other sellers here.

And yet despite these obviously blatant scammers, ebay emails me monthly, advising me how they've 'protected my selling account', and how much they 'value sellers!'

White man speak with forked tongue, kemosabe!

I think the ACORN will have a field day with this guy.

I urge you to please lodge an ACORN report.

After their investigation I think ebay will have little choice but to NARU him or end up in legal troubles themselves for complicity.

Hopefully if they NARU him they will also block his IP address and street address so he can not bother ebay any more unless he moves house and changes ISP.

We need more good sellers to take this course of action so ebay will have to address these kinds of problem members themselves.

In the meantime the good honest sellers among us are at the detsructive "mercy" of these types. We have little/no defence against this as we get no support from ebay.

I know I'm not completely protected, because no-one is, but I think having auctions offers slightly more protection from these types than straight BIN's. At least if someone bids early enough you can check their feedback left for others and take appropriate action if needed. I've only cancelled bids and blocked a buyer once, but I believe it saved me a lot of potential heartache.

Of course if someone bids in the last few seconds or they hit the optional BIN button, there's not a lot you can do about them apart from cross your fingers and hope for the best.

I have to say, I am a bit over the "buyers are immortal and buyers can do no wrong" attitude from eBay.

Transoceania, I am ssriously rocked by that latest cut and paste. There is not one single positive thing in there and it beggars belief that ebay allow this man to keep his account. You would think paypal could have some sort of automated system that would bring up an alert if a person kept having claims. Not saying anyone should be automatically stopped from claiming, just that the paypal operator would then know to have a good hard look at future claims.

I am wondering if this mental case of a buyer actually has not opened many paypal cases. Maybe he just manages to get refunds and replacements from a lot of sellers without a struggle.

I think you seriously need to do as Clarry suggests. It might be a bother but in the long run, if ebay has an organisation with clout get on its back eventually, it may help make the trading place a bit nicer for sellers.

I feel for you, I really do.

If he did this on Amazon, then he would of been banned by now.

I encounter these types of people all the time, they try to make me revise feedback so that they get a free item. eBay really should crack down on these types of buyers as they are terrible and whats worse is, if sellers are unprotected, they are going to get screwed no matter what.

We should be allowed to filter these types of buyers out in the settings but we can't.. Something like "Block buyer from buying IF conditions = negatative feedback output = more than 20% or whatever.

Man they just make me so mad, had one buyer once that said they never received it, and it was posted to a shop.. Came into the store and it was literally on the desk..

Springy, that picture was from toolhaus, so only shows the red and grey dots. There are a few green dots in between, but not many.

The sad fact is that eBay couldn't give a toss about the welfare of its sellers yet they bend over backwards to keep their buyers happy. And the mods here are complicit in keeping bad buyers' records hidden from public view. All crooks together as far as I'm concerned and the lot of them can get stuffed.

I'll tell you what I really think stawks. I'm bloody annoyed at eBay virtually shutting me down with one fell swoop last night. They've hit me with an MC036 and pulled the majority of my most profitable listings with a warning not to relist or be suspended.

Looking at last April's sales, if you remove the 53 which relate to the removed listings, there are just 4 sales remaining for a total of $37. Oh well, eBay won't be getting another $100 in fees this month, that's for sure. Trouble is, it also means that my income drops to virtually zero as well. I think it might be time to finally pull the plug and give up selling altogether, and good bloody riddance to eBay.
