Setting up selling account

I'm in the process of setting up a new (selling) ID which, presumably, is going to entail a new paypal account, and I have a couple of questions.

1) Can I link my new Paypal account to the same bank account/credit card that I use for my buying ID

2) Is there an option to click on to add 'cash on pick up' to my payment options or do I have to include it in my item description?

You cant have 2 PayPal accounts linked to the same card, already tried that myself. You will need to open up a new bank account

you can have upto 7 or 8 ebay IDs all linked to the one PAYPAL account, with the one bank account.

no need to open a new paypal a/c

Setting up selling account

Hi,

When I set up a new PayPal, I remember having to have a different financial account linked.

But you can link many ebay acounts to one PayPal without having to set up another PayPal account.

There is now a pay on pick up.

Re 2) Yes, you can add this to the payment options you offer, when listing in the payment details select ~ Pay on pick up ~ it is the last option on the list of payment options.

As well as having this in payment details, I do mention in my listing description the payment options available including cash on pick up & my suburb.  Figure it can't hurt to mention it and saves a buyer looking for this option having to click onto payment details  🙂

Thanks, guys. Will I need to add the new ID to my existing Paypal account or will Paypal pick it up automatically since  the name and postal address is registered with my new ID?

Yes. If you're using the eBay Selling form, when you list your first item, under the band " Decide how you'd like to be paid", click Add or Remove options.

Tick Pay on Pick Up. Click Save.

Scroll back down the page and you'll see the option to tick Pay on Pick Up which will show as Cash on Pick Up in the payment options when the listing is completed.

It works on email addresses. Add your new selling ID email address to Paypal. I would make that your primary address. Whichever primary address you use will be the one your payment notifications go to.

If you haven't already done so, you will need to upgrade your Paypal account to Premier. It is free, but takes a little while as PP will deposit two small sums into your nominated bank account, which you need to complete the verification.

It's also easier if you download Turbo Lister,(it's an eBay listing tool).

This will also allow you to prepare your listings in advance and store them until you want to use them.

Go to the Site Map,(the link is at the bottom of the page).

Once there go to the:

Sell column.

It's the 6th one down in the Selling Tools column:

Selling Tools

eBay Solutions Directory

eBay Stores

Sales Reports

Selling Manager

Selling Manager Pro

Turbo Lister

Once you have downloaded it click on Tools and Install Complete Version Update,
(before you do anything else).

As that will install all current updates.

Then go back to Tools and select Options.

Then Advanced Options and click on Program Updates.

This will then allow you to set it to do the updates when you log into TL.

This way it will be up to date and there will be no problems when you prepare a listing

If it's not updated first various things might have changed and it wont accept the listing when you go to load it to eBay

To set up for pickup only is easy.

Just go to the Postage Options and click on the drop down box under Domestic Postage and select Local Pickup only.

It will then display Item is available for local pickup only and it will display your postcode.
