I have been talking with a few friends lately and we all seem to be suffering from the same problem. It seems that there are a lot of people who are not paying for goods or leaving low feedback scores that are not deserved.
Ebay does not seem to help when we suffer from these problems as I noticed one person had SIX non paying complaints in his positive only feedbackand he was still bidding on items.
Another non paying bidder with a score of 1 had also received four non paying complaints that were turned into positives and I could not leave feedback as I made a non paying claim as well.
He is still bidding on Ebay.
If sellers could warn other sellers it would help us save a lot of time and money.
what do others think?

I am not 100% sure but I thought if you leave Negative F/B as a Positive it was against Ebay Rules.. What I do and not sure Is when I relist The Item that a buyer didn't pay for was First off block them from bidding on any of my items. Then I edit the discription and say Item is being relisted because the bidder didn't want to pay and if any seller wants the NPB ID to message me. I have done this about 5 times so far.

Yes crowsman, you are correct that it is not allowed to leave a positive with a negative comment. But it is also not allowed to do what you are doing. Your listings may well be reported....and it is even more likely to happen now that you have posted on the boards.

Hello To All
Issue (ebay member buys item , Than no payment then leaves negative feedback)
I have this happen many times over the years, Ebay is of no help.
They will not remove the negative feedback (Not can't remove as they state).
I am looking into the fact that because the member did not pay, they are not and should not be able to leave feedback.
Ebays terms state often and refer to these grubs as buyers. (to me the term buyer would suggest they have paid).
Therefore if you are not a buyer, you are not subject to the ebay policy.
This should also relate to cancelled transactions, as if buyer turns down the cancel transaction you can't open an unpaid item strike.(yet one more tool for grubs).
I would like to hear other members feeling on these issues.

simple, don't just rely on eBay to remove the negative left by a non-payer because they don't pay . . . . . . . take matters into your own hands and do the UnPaid Item process so that the non-payer gets a non-payer strike for that transaction.
This will stop the non-payer from being able to leave feedback, and if they leave feedback before the process is complete then you just need to ask eBay to remove the negative due to non-payer strike being issued. Do this over the phone and not through messages or email, and if the person you are speaking to says they can't remove the feedback then ask/demand to speak to their supervisor. Remain calm but insistent that the negative be removed according to eBay's own rules governing feedback by non-payers with a strike for the transaction.
If you choose to do the 'cancel transaction' process rather than the UnPaid Item strike process then you are choosing to give the non-payer the opportunity to leave you feedback, including negative feedback.
Can't blame eBay for your choices when they give you an easy option that will prevent the non-payer from leaving you a negative.

those that win auctions or do the Buy-Now thing should have the right to refuse a 'cancel transaction' request from a seller and retain the right to leave appropriate feedback even if they do not pay. The fact that the seller requests cancellation suggests that they would not send the item if the buyer paid, so you can't blame a buyer in this scenario.
If a seller requests cancellation and this is refused and they were then able to open an UnPaid Item case then that would punish a buyer who had done nothing wrong by issuing them with a non-paying buyer strike, and they are hardly grubs in this situation. If this was able to be done then informed buyers would simply pay by PayPal and then open an Item Not Received case after an appropriate amount of time had passed and then leave a deserved negative for the seller.

either sellers should be able to leave feedback or ebay should remove the ridicuous positive feedback only option . Its a farce . you can occasiobnally get a negative comment by if you word it carefully . Of course sellers should be able to war other sellers . Buyers with 100% feedback mean notheing just means they may not have sold on Ebay .

Well I have just had a look at my last sixty days results.
I have had 10 % non payers
I have paid 10 % commission on sales
I have paid 3.4 % to paypal.
Postage costs continue to rise and my sellers only rate me at 4.2 % for postage charges despite the fact I only break even on postage costs.
I have had two fraudulent claims for non delivery that cost me 5% of my sales value.
It is costing me nearly 40% to sell on Ebay and I can not even leave honest feedback.
Mt local shops will sell on consignment for 20 % so what do you think I should do?
How does 10% FVF + 3.4% to Paypal add up to 40%? Btw Paypal is 30c +2.4%.
NPBs don't really count towards selling fees. If you open disputes and they don't pay, you get your FVF refunded.
