Re: Should i be worried about seller

The seller would have had to offer a safe payment method in order to list, so either PayPal, PayMate or a credit card option - I would not be paying by bank deposit, regardless of what the seller's listing might say.

You're only real options here are to pay by whatever safe method they have and hope it's both a valid account and the item is sent, or - if the seller continues to be unresponsive - not pay and if an unpaid item dispute is ever opened, you should be able to appeal any strike and have it removed on the grounds the seller would not reply to your payment enquiries. (It is unlikely you will be able to leave any permanent FB for the transaction if less than positive and a UPI dispute is opened/closed without payment).

Re: Should i be worried about seller

you are right i wont pay with bank deposit ...I will wait to see if i get any reply as postage still needs to be added to invoice also as seller has not done so ( it reads calculate postage)I am not going to pay anything also until seller responds to me...

Re: Should i be worried about seller

Ok, I just did a quick search of your buying history - I'm presuming it's the Peter Stone Traditional Arabian Tucky figurine?

If so, the seller did not actually list bank deposit as a payment method, only PayPal and personal cheque (perhaps oddly).

The listing is most likely as showing 'Calculate postage' in you list of won items, but if you click on 'Pay Now', or even view the listing' it should automatically calculate the postage charge based on your postcode and the parcel dimensions/weight the seller put in (it's calculating as $17.05 for me when I view it, to SA).

So, technically, there should be nothing stopping you from paying via PayPal now, at least, not aside from their lack of response to messages.

Re: Should i be worried about seller

Ok sorry  my mistake..i did see the cheque option and presumed they offered bank deposit also...I will pay with pay pal when i at least get a response from the seller...I am still wary as they are totally new to the selling thing..Just recently i sold an item to a purchaser who had 0 feedback..They did not pay or communicate and after 5 days i received a message from ebay that the buyer was not registered and they had removed thier id..i was refunded my fees from ebay and told to sell once again..That made me wonder how the buyer actually got a user id to purchase in the first place

Re: Should i be worried about seller

i would just pay by paypal you are covered if anything goes wrong

some sellers might be away still

also as they are new they might not know whats happening
