Re: Site Problems?

We had 40-odd auctions end during the problem period and only one sale occurred and that was from a bid that was already present before the problems started. So no other bids at all due to the blackout.

We have now received emails from ebay apologizing for the problems and stating that all fees would be credited for auctions that ended during the problem period.

So all we will get back is the FVF for the one that sold. There were no insertion fees as these were listed as part of the previous promo.

We would normally have expected to see 4-6 sales or so from that many auctions using our normal sales ratio.

So no mention of any compensation because buyers simply could not bid on items.

Yet another example of ebay largesse. pfffttt!

Re: Site Problems?

I scoffed at their emails too. One of my items had close to 30 watchers on it (which is unusual for me). I've sold quite a few of this particular item in the past and it always sells the first time it's listed, with quite often a bidding war between at least 3 people. Normally my items sell for the opening bid, but this particular one seems to be popular amongst my buyers.

As it ended up relisting (eventually), I believe I missed out on a sale on that item. It will probably sell this time around, but it's not the point. If the interested buyers thought that it was something wrong with me that they couldn't bid, they may not come back to have another go next Saturday. Especially as this item is usually the "target" of snipers, due to the delay in relisting, this one now ends at around 2.45am.

I had 6 items that already had bids on that ended during the malfunction, so I guess I'll get a few bucks back from those. Not holding my breath though!

Re: Site Problems?

Anyone else having problems with "Print Address Labels or Invoices" today?

I select Invoice/Packing Slip as usual, but when I hit the Continue button nothing is happening.

Re: Site Problems?

I had problems just now sending an invoice.  Came up with 'page not responding'.  Went back to 'send invoice page', and kept clicking on 'send payment information' - it eventually went through.

Re: Site Problems?

Ok, good to know it's not just me. How do you even bring something like this to their attention?

Plus the Actions menus have decided to jump to the left, pushing more important details off the screen.

This place seems so broken lately. Smiley Sad

I noticed that after all the weekend problems, but while it's taking some getting used to, I actually like it there
