Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced slow sales over the last couple of weeks. Is it due to Ebays upgrades?

Yes, I am finding the same thing. I am only a hobby seller and normally have much more activity and sales than I have over the last month. I have received 100% positive feedback since selling for the last 12 months so I don't think my listings or feedback is a problem
Let's hope it improves soon!

My sales are very erratic. Good for a few days and falling right away others but generally pretty hard going. As a regular at my local post office, I tend to get the real story from staff and the concensis is that parcel deliveries have dropped away noticibly at my local AP recently. Add eBays 100 free listings every fortnight for non store holders and 5000 freebies for store holders ( an indication of slow sales ?? ) and I think its a safe bet to say online is pretty fragile at the moment. I have found I am still getting some interest from auctions, more so than BINS. and are relying on these to keep things moving. My wife watches a particular catagory of hobby interest ( discretionary spending ) and she thinks there has been a dramatic rise in listing numbers with a large fall in sales and prices achieved. All in all I dont think you are an orphan with the difficult trading enviroment.

I would comment, but then people would ask how somebody with 25 fb has a right to comment.
So, as a non-comment, I will say that my month to date sales (with one day to go) are 50% better than any month in my 4 year selling career.

Well I can say that sales for me have been steadily declining for some time.
As a seller since 2000, I have experienced many changes introduced by e-bay Aus however I feel that the main changes introduced over the years are "best match" search, $1.50 listing fee (after free listing quota), mandatory acceptance of paypal by all sellers and the removal of sellers being able to leave negative feedbck to non-paying buyers have contibuted towards e-bays errosion of seller confidence.
I remember a time when it was totally free to list on e-bay, buyers and sellers could choose a method of payment which suited themselves and the ebay experience was a geniunely enjoyable one. I believe e-bay "peaked" in about 2003/2004 and has been steadily declining ever since. Ebay was once a place to come and search for truely genuine collectibles and unusual items or those hard to find items not found in retail stores etc. This is just my opinion (albeit with my 14 years ebay selling experience!)
