The defect stands ...

A couple of days ago I wrote on here about a defect I received for Item Description for a sale that was never completed. The buyer refused to pay so I cancelled the sale. I relisted the item. It sold again shortly afterwards to another buyer who loved it and gave me glowing feedback telling me what a gorgeous item is was. It was a Big City Chic Special Occasion Tunic. If I remember rightly the feedback was left in July? Not sure about that without looking it up.

On the same day the second buyer left her glowing Positive feedback for me, the first buyer reappeared and next to the second buyers feedback, left me a Positive? saying there had been a misunderstanding and she wished this seller all the best. Pffft!!!  She then went to my DSRs and tampered with every one of them including Item Description for which she gave me a low score. Keeping in mind she had never received the item so she never saw it.

Three times I have emailed eBay complaining about this grossly unfair & unjust defect. Well, I actually received a reply today.

Let them know if I have any questions??????? They must be joking!!!!!!!!!

At this point I give up ever thinking that eBay might even be on my side about any damn thing. I am very upset as I was nothing but polite to this dreadful woman. She left me a positive feedback comment and then ripped into me in a fashion that would not show her for the nasty **bleep** she obviously is.

Of course, she has been on my BBL ever since and will never be removed even if she comes crawling on her hands and knees with a hand grenade protruding from her rear orifice.

I know now that eBay doesn't give a **bleep** about their sellers.

Try calling them and asking to speak to a supervisor. I've heard people seem to have a little more luck that way, rather than emailing them. Email you just get the standard cut and paste answers.

Hi Chooky,

No this reply came from the people who handle emails that have been handed up fro further consideration. Forget ever thinking that eBay care less about us. If some nasty, vendictive b***h can get away with a thing like this what chance do any of us have?

Re: The defect stands ...

Bottom line is that you chose to allow this to happen, had you done yourself and all other sellers a favour and gone through the unpaid item process instead of stiffing us all by offering mutual cancellation you would not have got a defect.

Re: The defect stands ...

I was conned by her into feeling sorry for her. Yes, I was conned!!! Stupid me!!! Would I make the same mistake today? NO!

Hindsight is a great thing. I agree. You never know you might benefit from it yourself one day.

Re: The defect stands ...

Well, according to eBay's feedback options, "Item was not received" is a valid excuse for buyers to use when leaving 1 or 2 star feedback for Item As Described -- which would probably explain why eBay do not perceive it as problem, even if is glaringly unfair in your case.

For the record ms Aussie you probably did the best you could.

Its the new eBay system that is at fault. WHY you ask

Simple , if you open a UID on a buyer they then have 4 days to pay and if they do your probably going to pee them of for opening a dispute . So guess what happens next.   THEY PAY  you send item they complain say its not as described want the money back and guess what comes next  RED DOT and even worse dsr,s and there's not a thing you will be able to do about it.

So really in your case you had little option you got a green dot and your defect for nothing due to a very flawed system.

Sure if they don't its all sweet but if they do just hold your breath and hope there not taking a disliking to you for your UID you opened.

eBay has lost its way to many rules regs. Back to the drawing board.

I am sorry you were treated with such little respect for having a bad EBAY experience ms aussie.  I feel sorry for you and many other sellers getting a bad deal from this mob.  Good luck with your future sales.

Re: The defect stands ...

I too copped a glowing green dot and an unfair low DSR for postage from a buyer, so I do understand your frustration. For my buyer, actual postage cost was $6.80, charged postage cost, $7. Unfortunately, all we can do is try and learn from it. Sadly, sometimes we have to learn the hard way. You know for next time though.

I've opened UPI disputes on non payers. Some don't pay, so case gets closed. Others pay rather quickly and still leave positive feedback and a 4 or 5 star DSR. Of course there are some that might then try and trash your DSR, but I think most people still do the right thing.

Try not to let it worry you. If it's your only defect, you don't have anything to worry about. I still only have the one at this stage, so have just let it go. You got a green dot and that's all other buyers and sellers will see. If the rest of your DSR's were good, then that one low one won't affect you. I still have a 5.0/50 rating for postage, despite that buyer hitting me with 2 stars.

Re: The defect stands ...

Thank you for your understanding Chooky. It makes me feel so much better just talking to you 🙂 I know it could have been worse so I have decided to put it all behind me and go forward. Take care, Helen.
