What else is there to keep everyone on their toes on a Friday? LOL
Nearly not worth coming on line sometimes with the little/big dramas they create....

The old email subject line contained "ebay" and the item number and the full title of the item. Now the word "ebay" has gone, as well as the item number and there's only a truncated title. This makes it much harder to sort through emails or group them or refer to past sales. Previously I would search by item number.
Why change things and make them worse?!

Because that is what they do best

Aw, c'mon! I reckon it's now better. They show you where your dollar is - flying away from you.
EDIT: The first quote is from the OP

I don't mind the new version...
But, I admittedly don't use them for anything except an instant alert an item has sold and to get a rough sense of how many items I have to go pick and pack (I disabled notifications on my phone, 'cause they're annoying ).
The green symbol differentiates them immediately by sight, so I can tick them all and mass delete without the risk of deleting other eBay emails I should read, or need to keep (I've done that before with notifications someone was paying by bank deposit, which these days happens so rarely I'm always a little surprised when someone uses it).
If I need to find past transactions, I just search the PayPal notifications, since I keep those, and each item number is on the receipt, so I can search my email by keywords, user name, actual name, delivery address, or item number, and get the results I need (the PP receipts also contain a direct link to both the PP transaction, and the eBay listing, so for me they contain [almost] everything, when buyers pay that way).
