but there are a couple of things that I can't figure out...
Basic stores and Featured stores are the same monthly price. What's the difference? Featured stores seem to have more features, so why would anybody bother with a Basic Store? I can't work that one out.
I have listed my 30 items for free. What happens to these listings when I move to a store? Do I then have to pay an insertion fee for them, or do they stay free and I only pay on new listings?
If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Feeling a bit lost!
Cheers
Julia

Hi Julia,
Basic stores are about to be retired, so there will onyl be featured and anchor stores. Monthly store subscription fees are also about to go up to $49.95.
When you open your store, all of your listings that are currently running will automatically be placed in your store. When they end, tehy will no longer be visible in your store but you will be able to relist them at 20c for up to 30 days for BIn or the regular auction prices. You won't get free listings anymore.

To add, many of the regular sellers suggest it's mostly only worthwhile if you have 100-200 items to list.
Perhaps better to continue with the 30 freebies, if you have a no-sales month, $50 gone. 😉
I have a question, so if the OP decides not to open a store, could she set up other ebay id accounts and continue to access the 30 free listings on each account? Is this possible?? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'm just curious??

Yes, you can do that
Just need different email addresses for each ebay account.

I list my BNWT items with my store id and use another id to list second hand items as auctions with free insertion fees.

Thanks so much folks, for all your advice. I have signed up for a store. I'll run it for a month to see if it's worth it.. if not I'll drop back to the 30 free listings and maybe open up some other accounts. I have around 200 items to list.. hopefully it will be worth it.
My listings were supposed to come across to the store but they haven't yet. I guess I just need to be patient. (Not my strong suit. LOL)
Thanks
Julia

Any listings that are active when you open you store will NOT be put into the store automatically till the have ended and then when you relist change the amount of listing days to 30 or good till cancelled and then they will be listed in your store.

funny, you are opening and on the 14 sept I am closing up for good. I have other IDs to do my free listings on.
I cant pay $49.95 a month.I was unhappy when it went from $15. to $20..then $25..I wont pay double, so I am selling up and removing the rest to other IDs and then to the other site.
Hope it goes well.
