Threatend by bidder.Ihave a bidder

I have a bidder that is threatening me!  She placed bids on 3  of my items and was outbid, she is accusing me of shill bidding. She sent me a message all in caps saying that she will go onto Ebay forums and let everyone know whats going on if I dont remove her bids!  She also says that she has contacted Ebay about what I am supposedly doing.  I too have contacted Ebay but have not heard back as yet.

I have been a memeber of Ebay since 2000, I have over 4000 feedback and 100% feedback.I forgot to mention that she has 0 feedback, she seems to know a lot about Ebay for new bidder!

I have never had a bidder like this, has anyone else? What should I do?

If you are not doing the wrong thing you have nothing to worry about.

If ebay does investigate on her sayso they won't do anything if they are satisfied that you have dne nothing wrong.

And she won't get much sympathy from the boardies.....we are used to dealing with members who imagine all sellers are shill bidding if they are outbid.

As a matter of interest, was she outbid by the same bidder on all items?

Maybe a new bidder who doesn't understand automatic bidding. Don't worry.

IGNORE HER!

And don't get into an argy bargy with her, chances are that if you try to talk to her you will only stoke the fire.

As long as you have done nothing wrong, she will be set right by either Ebay, and or the other posters on here if she does decide to have a rant on the boards.

Won't get much sugar from other sellers me thinks. Maybe she was just having a bad hair day?

Sorry that this has happened, do whatever you need to so that you can take a breath and go forward, have a coffee, drink a scotch, have some choccy, retail therapy, meditate or go for a walk.

Reflect on your good feedback that you already have, and balance that against this "angry bird" (hah hah). She is in the minority.

Good luck and wishing you lots of more great feedback and sales.

Seems to be a number of cases recently of a buyer protesting 'I was outbid on ebay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  it's dodgey

Re: Threatend by bidder.Ihave a bidder

Yes it is the same bidder on the 3 items, the items are hard to find vintage doll clothes from my childhood, all for the same doll so there is only a handful of bidders bidding on them.
It's a bit of a niche collectible I think.

Re: Threatend by bidder.Ihave a bidder

If you must answer her, and if she sent you a message I think you probably do need to reply, just simply say that no, she can rest assured that any bids on your items are from other genuine bidders. You have at no time, past or present, engaged in shill bidding.

Just leave it at that. No need to send any other messages or get into a debate later.

I would not cancel her bids at all, who is she to dictate? In any case, she has been outbid so she isn't going to win, you don't have that to worry about.

If ebay investigates, they should see the other bidder is a different IP to yours so you should not have any trouble.

The bid history looks fine & good luck with your Sindy dolls & clothes! I recall I had the BOAC one as a child! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Re: Threatend by bidder.Ihave a bidder

Sorry to make a self reply but please do be aware that some doll buyers are fairly rabid! My Child buyers being the worst offenders IMHO. Should your lovely potty mouth bidder win the auctions - Do please cover your backside! (The nicest way I could say that!)

I once had an INAD for a doll. Long story short....The collectable My Child doll I sent was replaced in the same mailing box for return with a lge Bratz doll & a bag of pebbles to make exact weight.  When I went to the local Police with the just opened parcel, the person was known to them (same state but rural buyer) Local cops were sent there; But she wouldn't answer the door to them.

Nothing I could do!  Out $269.00 bid price; postage both ways; Ebay fees; & the doll! A lesson well learned! Don't let this happen to you! Needless to say I no longer sell dolls!
