Time to say "GOODBYE TO EBAY" selling fees are a massive rip-off

As a small time seller, I cant believe that out of an $88 sale including postage, EBAY takes $13 and then slugs me an additional $9.15 for the postage

This platform no longer encourages P2P transactions unless you are buying items from China

So long!!

Back to Gumtree......................

What do you mean Ebay slugged YOU for the postage? Didn't you include postage in the listing and didn't the buyer pay it?

You have to pay somebody for postage if you post something.

You are not required to use eBay postage labels. You can always deal directly with Australia Post. They will only slug you $9.15. Or do you think AP should offer free services, as you appear to think eBay should?

Just looking at your listing - you got $70 for the shoes and $18.95 for postage which are charged fees together at the rate of 13.4% +30c - so around $13 is about right.

So you received $18.95 for the postage and posted it for $9.15.

The fees are slightly less than you would have paid before Managed Payments - but you would not have been charged as much if you had listed with the correct postage cost.

But 'slugging' the buyer over twice the amount for postage is OK?

And ebay is a massive rip off?

Can't wait for the howls of indignation when payment is withheld for 30 days

Or even a neg over the postage amount.

wow is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

It's not ok for Ebay to charge you the fee's that are clearly set out on their fee's page, but which you obviously didnt bother to read or comprehend (they are clear)

But it's ok for you to charge the buyer double postage.

Wow, just wow

PS.   Good Bye,  just don't forget to cancel the helmet you have for sale or you will be back complaining about the fee's on that as well

PPS.  I just took a closer look at your ad for the helmet (s),  it is very confusing, is it $95 for both helments or as your text says $85 for both.

Goodbye - eBay won't miss you.  Happy selling on 'DumTree'.  The shoe fits.
