Ok, we've done the Packing Peanuts and the Bubblewrap
Now,
Tissue Paper
Is there anywhere to buy decent white tissue paper without having to go to the newsagency and buy it in packs of 5 for $5?
I've tried the cheaper stuff, and it is worse than home brand toilet paper soooo
what do the peeps here do for bulk tissue paper?
Nice good quality stuff that doesn't rip if it gets a bit of pressure applied, and is kind of soft and pliable like the stuff in the hallmark packages.
you know, the Sorbent of tissue papers?

ie - regular printer paper is 80GSMs but I use 140GSMs for writing letters etc
and then of course in napkins and toilet paper we have 1, 2 and 3 ply
Regular paper is 40gsm. 140gsm is approaching cardboard.
Nope, I even just double checked.
I have 3 brands of printer paper her and they are all 80GSMs
That's reflex, Coles home brand and Quality
(I just buy what's on special)

My bad.
You are correct, standard paper IS 80gsm. All I had to do was look at the package on any of the reams of paper right next to my desk. Never assume.

of course I'm correct!

(I'm fussy about my writing paper and business stationery)

Tissue paper weight is apparently 10-35 gsm, butcher paper/newsprint around 44-48 gsm. So the one I am on the look out for would then be between 35-44 gsm. If it was available in white I reckon you might quite like it, Crikey.

Indeed I may Chezzy, but I can't seem to find any with the GSMs on it?

Afraid I am having trouble myself, atleast in Australia. Maybe the 'eco' paper is more a european thing.
The closest I can find is a lower gsm (40) brown Kraft paper. I am guessing 35-38 would be about
perfect for me. Just like people have their comfort foods this would be a comfort paper that I want to
share with my buyers ๐

chezzy off ebay there are numerous suppliers online in Oz. just google eco friendly tissue paper, there are loads of suppliers of eco tissue paper noting the natural tissue paper that is available may be more expensive than other tissue types. I spotted a few suppliers of 17gsm "natural" tissue paper.

Thanks, am searching on and off ebay. There is certainly a wide range of paper types available but am still struggling to
find paper in the weight/texture I want. 17gsm would be a very very light tissue whereas I am after something that is heavier tissue leaning towards newsprint in weight. Gotta love these challenges.

and the hard part is to buy some to have a look, you can't usually just buy a few sheets - you need to buy a whole ream!
