Tissue Paper

Ok, we've done the Packing Peanuts and the Bubblewrap

Now,

Tissue Paper

Is there anywhere to buy decent white tissue paper without having to go to the newsagency and buy it in packs of 5 for $5?

I've tried the cheaper stuff, and it is worse than home brand toilet paper soooo

what do the peeps here do for bulk tissue paper?

Nice good quality stuff that doesn't rip if it gets a bit of pressure applied, and is kind of soft and pliable like the stuff in the hallmark packages.

you know, the Sorbent of tissue papers?

Yeah, weird eh?

Ebay was the  first place I looked!

I have bought things from that company.

Certainly a lot heavier than wax seal stickers.

I don't remember the postage being horrendous,

otherwise I wouldn't have gone back for more.

Mind you, it's been a while

UPDATE on the Tissue Paper

I found one I like -

Nice and strong - I have really long fingernails and I didn't manage to poke a hole in one single sheet today, so I'm sold.

Nice, crisp and clean, pure white, but pliable and looks good enough for giftwrap.

Not too transparent

was acid free, I just bought it in a package of 60 sheets from here

The only downside is it was folded for postage, but then so is that in the packets.

...............................

Oh, and I have discovered something far more evil than packaging peanuts (Though thanks to Trusty, I will never be able to look at those in the same way again LOL) and makes shredded newspaper desireable - Shredded cellophane!

It's horrible and sticks and clings and *blerk*

................

But - discovered a nice shiny white, reasonably strong butchers paper, and discovered that scrunched up it is perfect for packaging and cuts down on my need for bubblewrap - so now I am on a quest to find out where to get that from.

Newspaper does the same job, cheaper. And it can also be confused as gift wrapping. Or so I've heard.

Sorry, I have not got any further with my tissue paper quest but if I do acquire any of the products I mentioned previously I will let you know. I want to use up the materials I have on hand first. Shouldn't take too long though. For some reason when I think of shredded newspaper I think of mouse and rabbit droppings.
