Turbo Lister 2

Hi

I had Turbo Lister 1 installed and had issues with uploading old listings so I did a customer support call and I was advised to uninstall the version I had and reinstall Turbo lister 2 which I did but now I get the error:

The version of turbo Lister bring installed does not match the database files  on your computer.  ????

Please install the same version of turbo lister that was previously installed eg if you have previously installed

the ebay US version you must install the EBay US version to access the files..

Why am I getting this message? and how do I fix this?

Re: Turbo Lister 2

It means that TL1 saved your data in a file format that TL2 doesn't recognise. So you can't open your old TL1 file with TL2. If you reinstall TL1, you would be open to open your old data, but TL1 is about 10 years old, no longer available and would not have all the latest eBay prices or settings.

You'd need to create an account in TL2, and then start creatings listings from scratch.

Re: Turbo Lister 2

When you synchronize[sic] TL2 with your eBay account it will import all your current listings and whatever unsold and sold ones that are in your account (last 60 days?).

So you will lose any prepared listings, but will have everything you currently have on eBay. A start, at least.

Yes, you might as well delete the TL1 files, they are obsolete.

Also, before doing anything in TL2, do a full system update to pick up the updates since the last version of TL2 was written. And check for updates regularly.

Re: Turbo Lister 2

Try saving your TL backup file to your desktop then move it to your new TL backup folder, even if it works it will be mostly useless as there will have been so many category changes and other updates  you would probably have to relist from scratch anyway.

When you get TL up and running it is important to do updates regularly, I have mine set to check for updates on opening, that way if there has been something like a category change I don't get all the way to the end of a listing only to get an error message when trying to upload.
