Hi everyone,
I am a new seller, only started selling for about 4 months. I read on this discussion board that people use Turbo Listing program to list their items. I am wondering where you can buy that program and how does it work? Would it be quicker to use Turbo Listing to list?
Secondly, I also read that people use photobuckets to upload their photos. I just can't figure out those new advanced tech. I have hundreds of photos saved in a folder and I mannually click on one by one to upload them when I list my items.
Can some very kind person tell me how Turbo Listing helps. And is there a quicker way to upload photos than to mannually upload them.
Your response will be much appreciated.

regarding photobucket, i think last year, the photo uploaded has the same exact name as the file name. for example my photo is called abc.jpg, when that is uploaded on photobucket, it will come out to be the same www.photobucket.com/whatever/abc.jpg. but recently photobucket seems to add a lot of random numbers and letters making abc.jpg into abcasdasdasd.jpg, this is really frustating, because say i want to have a annoucement banner on my listings, if i want to annouce different things, eg going on holiday, i just need to edit that file and have it the same name, then i do not need to change anything on my listings, because the file name would be the same. but now, if i ever want to change my banner, i have to change it one by one for all of my listings, any suggestion for a photo uploading site that keeps the file name exact?

bw_bargain, in your Photobucket Settings under Privacy, you can select Filename Scrambling options. Untick the box under Future Uploads.

Hi everyone.
Thanks PJs. Your listings are very attractive too. I couldn't help and the other day I bought a dress from you using my other ID ๐ Keep up your good work.
Phorum: Each listing is for different items. No same items have more than one listing.
I've been trying to use TL, and am so frustrated becasue after all the hard work I click on "save", a pop up says "XML document must have a top level element". I don't quite understand what's wrong that I cannot save. I repeated everything again several times and still get the same message.
I also created a photobucket account because I like the photo galaries in the description. I upload photos there then copy and paste the links to picture URLs. I am doing the right thing?
Can anyone tell the what's wrong and why I keep getting the pop up message, and how to fix it.
Thank you so much.

I was getting that error message too, it didn't happen with every listing I edited though. turned out to be only half a dozen out of nearly 200.
This is the reply I got when I emailed turbodata@ebay.com
Hello Barb,
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to Turbo Lister.
I understand that you're encountering an error ("XML document must have a top level element") when you try to edit some items in Turbo Lister. I'm sorry about the trouble you've experienced. I would be glad to help. The error may be caused by a conflict with a file in the Update directory for Turbo Lister. To resolve the error, please try the following:
First close Turbo Lister and then locate the Update directory on your hard drive. For Windows 8, look in the following location:
C:\Program Data\eBay\Turbo Lister2\Update
If you don't see the ProgramData folder, you may need to change the folder settings to show hidden folders. In Windows Explorer, click the Organize menu. Select "folder and search options." Click the View tab and be sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected; then click "OK."
Delete all files in the Update directory so it is empty. Then launch Turbo Lister and check for program updates (Tools > Check for Program Updates).
If the problem persists, let us know.
Thank you for using eBay for your online trading needs.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey G. W.

I don't know if it works or not as I will not be trying to upload those listings for 6 months so decided to wait until nearer the time to sort them out.

Hi FJ,
Too complicated for me ๐
I'll try to check out with my brother to fix the problem. My new laptop is Window 8, and it is difficult enough to use.
Thank you for helping. I sure will try to figure out so I can use it properly.

I use auctivia to list on eBay its the best i think just google it

I avoid listings that are created using Auctiva as some sellers do not turn off all the extra emails Auctiva send, as if there weren't already more than I want from ebay.
I hate the scrolling gallery too and hit the back button without waiting for the rest of the page to load if it is at the top.
