I wish to change my buyer requirements to allow all bidders (after briefly deciding to block certain bidders) but seem unable to do so. I have succeeded in altering my site preferences to this effect, however all my new listings keep defaulting to my old 'blocked bidder' preferences. I have also tried revising the individual listings to allow all bidders - however most of the time I'm unable to access the function (gives me the option to 'leave' or 'stay on' the page but then never loads up) but even on the odd occasion when it does allow me to unmark all the fields, it just reverts back to the blocked bidder list again! This is driving me nuts - I've also had a few potential buyers blocked from bidding (a few have contacted me to tell me they couldn't bid in the final moments of the auction) - very annoying for them and it's resulting in lots of frustration and lost sales for me.
Would anyone kindly be able to tell me how to fix this?? Many thanks in advance.

This may help... http://pages.ebay.com.au/services/buyandsell/biddermanagement.html?ssPageName=STRK:MESRL:009
It explains how to add blocked buyers to your blocked buyer exemption list so that they are no longer subject to your buyer blocks.
Long term, you'll need to create a new listing template with your new settings and use it whenever you list a new item though.

Thanks for your help cq. 🙂
Yes, I've 'unblocked' bidders currently on my blocked list, however I need to make provision for all new bidders.
What I neglected to mention earlier is that I did create a listing from scratch, setting the buyer requirements to 'None' - but bizarrely when I uploaded the listing, again the buyer req's had defaulted back to a blocked bidder setting. How is this possible??!!
Need to find a way around it asap. 😕

After you set your buyer requirements via the site preferences page, triple check in the buyer requirements screen that you have checked the apply to active and future listings box and then select submit.
X | Apply above settings to active and future listings |
I would then try logging out of eBay and clearing your browser cache and then logging back in and creating a new listing from scratch via the sell an item menu see if thats successful in keeping your buyer preferences as you have selected.
