I’m sharing this here out of frustration, hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction. I’ve had multiple phone calls and emails with eBay regarding this issue, but have only received automated replies with no real assistance or escalation.
A buyer left negative Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) on one of my listings. eBay reviewed the feedback and removed the written comment due to a policy violation, but strangely, the negative star ratings were left behind. If the comment was removed for violating policy, the DSRs that came with it should also be removed otherwise it’s inconsistent and unfair.
Here’s what makes this situation even more frustrating:
The buyer's account was only active for about a month, then closed shortly after this transaction.
They never communicated with me or gave me a chance to resolve anything.
The purchase appears to be a duplicate order, and the negative feedback was duplicated across both items, same complaint, same ratings.
Tracking shows the item was delivered successfully.
Since the account is now closed/unregistered, I can’t even use the Feedback Revision Request tool, which eBay support keeps suggesting.
This is clearly not a normal buyer dissatisfaction case it’s a textbook example of feedback abuse and an unresolvable dispute due to the buyer no longer being active.
I’ve repeatedly asked for this to be escalated to the Seller Protections Team or a supervisor, but all I’ve received are scripted responses that don’t address the core issue.
All I’m asking for is a fair and consistent resolution if eBay determined the comment violated policy, the entire feedback (including star ratings) should be removed. This is affecting my account unfairly and goes against the principles of seller protection.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on getting this looked at properly?

Hi there, ebay only removed the feedback comments, for being against policy, however the _ve feedback for both items was not removed and is still valid. Therefore the individual star ratings are also valid.

You need to speak to a real live person at EBay. I had a similar issue and was unable to resolve it using automated methods and chat bots. As soon as I dealt with a real live person , they acknowledged the error and quickly removed the Negative Feedback.
