When a buyer who has too many unpaid buyer strikes, tries to purchase (buy it now) an item that they are banned from purchasing, what message, if any, do they see??
Ive had one buyer try 8 times over the past two weeks to buy an item off me. Slow, or unaware?
Thanks 😄

I wondered the same thing too. Not ever having a strike, I've never seen it. I did ask the question last year and can't remember what the reply was now! I think it was something along the lines of "this seller has chosen not to sell this item to you at this time". I'd be happier with something like "BAD BUYER ALERT!! You can't pay for your items, so you can't buy this one. Suck eggs".

I've read on the boards before that the buyer gets a message "this seller is not accepting bids from you at this time" or words to that effect.I don't think it mentions unpaid item strikes or perhaps it lists the possible reasons why.
I used to often see that the same rejected buyers tried more than once.
A couple of them messaged to ask why they couldn't bid,so possibly unaware.
I guess that not all sellers have UPI blocks so the buyer may not see it on some purchases.

The way people have worded their messages to me when asking if they can be allowed to purchase, I was always under the impression they knew exactly why they couldn't buy, so presumed it said something on the screen when they were blocked - and i figure you'll get some who say "it says I have strikes but.... etc", others may elect to plead ignorance.
The only time I can recall someone messaging me and not knowing why they were blocked is when I had their ID on my BBL, oddly enough everyone else (who was blocked due to strikes), specifically mentioned it as the reason and just asked me to make an exception.

I had one that tried 10 times before they gave up,(so thought that they only received the can not buy/bid message).

I had one recently C&P the message she received saying she was declined from purchasing because she has 2 or more item strikes within 12 months.

I think the most disturbing one on my log was a buyer with 3 feedback being blocked for too many strikes. Had a high feedback member the other day try to bid on 5 or 6 different things before they finally gave up.
