Very Harsh transaction defect rate (0.5%) !!

The new seller standard have caused me to lose my top rated status and thus lose my Ebay premium badge stamp on my listings ! This has greatly reduced my sales.

Because we run a physical street store as well as an ebay store sometimes items sell on ebay that have just sold in our street store and we have not had a chance to adjust the quantity on Ebay. So we have to cancel the ebay order due to being 'out of stock' . But the threshhold for top rated seller is only 0.5% meaning we can not cancel more than one transaction in every 200. This is very difficult to achieve even though we are seen as one of the very best service stores in our field. 100% positive feedback..

This costs me alot of sales and ebay will get less from me as well. Tough !!

how do you know sizes are incorrect or if 2 left feet are in the box? do you inspect every box? if you do inspect every box before posting perhaps inspecting every box before listing is a better idea?

Yes every pair/box gets inspected and quality checked before it is sent out to a buyer. Ideally it would be good if every pair was checked on arrival to us , but practically with hundreds of pairs arriving on some days that is often not possible.

so you don't check your stock the same way when you get it from the supplier and mark them off your invoice? this way there would be no mistake eg incorrect sizes.

you need to remember ebay is not like a B/M store, buyers dont get to look at the item, try it on ect. so your description is the only thing a buyer has to make a final purchase decision on. so i think its important you do check every item before listing or take the problems on the chin that result from things being wrong when you go to pack and post. prolly only need to check the one listed not every one if you have multiples of an item, just mark the box 'ebay checked' or something so you dont sell it in your store.

Had a store message stating would be away for 1 month june july 2017. Have done this many times without problems. .this time customers ordered returned end of July. Had approx 300 orders and very unhappy customers. .my ebay rating has always been very high and had good sales. .ebay hit me with transaction defects and my sales went through the floor have dropped over 75 percent. .contacted ebay told me my items for sale now have low visibility on best match page..explained the issue with store message and ebay agreed to remove them..still sales down.rang ebay they said yes they are removed but next update to review 1 month away in september..explained this is no good as my sales are still well below average. .after 7 days and much frustration still no result. .supervisors and managers say they will ring back..nothing..they tell us to communicate with our customers while there's is abysmal. .yesterdays conversation was the best ebay told me they can't find my listings..still sales are woeful. .any sellers in ebay had this problem..any way to contact someone in ebay that has some pull to fix this..very frustrating
