Hi all, how can I do to get Ebay to review and remove negative feedback a buyer has left for me. I sold them a COVER for a door draft stopper and they were expecting a cover and snake. The title clearly states the item is a cover and the item description says many times that the item is a cover only and buyer will have to purchase your own snake. No discussion was even attempted just neg. feedback left from a buyer with a 0 feedback rating. I requested a revision of feedback left by the buyer but they have formally declined stating the original feedback was correct. What can I do now? They also stated the item was overpriced and they thought it unbelievable they would have to fill the cover themselves. Obviously they chose to purchase the item at the cost it was. No questions were ever asked before purchase and the description is clear that the listing is for a cover only. Im so angry.........

I am another who feels COVER FOR or NEW COVER FOR should be at the front of the listing's titles. All the best.

The OP has changed most of her listings now; maybe just missed some?

I had checked before I posted, I think there is still about nine that haven't been changed, just in case she missed them 😉

I see your neg is still there; I'd be ringing ebay again and asking why it hasn't been removed:-)

Update: I was told that the Negative feedback will be removed within 24hrs. So lets hope, otherwise I will be ringing them back. Im just about finished revising my listing headings now and Ive also revised the listing descriptions as well. Taking on board the comments on pictures with text being banned, Ive chosen to mention that the images show the cover inside a "snake" and that the listing is for a COVER only.
I really do appreciate the advise from others here at Ebay. However, I feel if a buyer does not read the description on a item, then discovers it is not what they wanted, then surely they must be in some way in the wrong .......

Interesting that photos will not be allowed to have text ADDED to them
but, what about the seller printing up a neat sign saying auction listing is for cover only
and have that in the picture when photographing the product?

They have the ability to remove the neg on the spot and they should haveX-( There's a lot of buyers out there who simply don't read the title, the description or your TOS - they just see the picture and hit the buy it now button - I've been guilty of not reading descriptions properly:8}

or have one photo of the item neatly presented in a clear bag that says cover only

Well, eBay buyers are a special kind of animal, and I am one of them.
Squeaky wheel syndrome, bad buyers get more attention on these boards than good buyers. If I came to the boards to let people know about my good buyers I would have many more threads/posts.
As for your listing titles, I like the job you have done on them better than the one I suggested way back in a previous post. Leaves no room for being misconstrued, even on a smartphone.

As someone who doesn't use a smart phone, can I ask what the issues might be - do titles and descriptions not appear properly on those smart phones/devices? Or is it carelessness on the part of the browser?
This thread has made me start to think...
