WHY DOES EBAY ALLOW USED UNDERWEAR TO BE SOLD?? ebay can break their own violations

According to ebays rules used underwear cannot be sold, yet they can break their own rules and allow it. Look up stage bikini or stage costumes - at least 2 can be found, plainly used, some photographed on, and even washed. Yet on asking why ebay referred it to their trust and safety team, so the team must all be away as nothing was done.....Here are ebays rules if any one from ebay is here and cares to check   Used undergarments are not allowed. This includes but is not limited to:
Athletic supporters
Briefs
Boxer shorts
Children's sized underwear
Cloth nappies
G-strings
Jock straps
Swim nappies
Thongs
Panties

eBay do NOT allow it.

The site is on a trust basis by members. Some members break the rules or simply don't know.

eBay cannot vet millions of listings and rely on reporting from members.

Every listing has a report link and is often better than ringing the phillipines call centre.

BTW eBay do not visit here nor read here.

I volunteer at an Op shop and all underwear donated is washed and dried before being sold. Lots of people buy them.

I have reported via the link as used underwear and phoned as well but days later still nothing unfortunately. And yes I know op shops sell such, and nothing wrong with that. But ebay rules are rules and feel ebay should do something to follow their own rules when something is reported.

I also reported similar things and nothing ever happened.  Someone was selling burnt copies of copyrighted music and I reported it twice - nothing was done.

But I got done once about 16 years ago for trying to sell some discs of an old TV show which wasn't available at the time.  I bought them off eBay but when I sold them after watching them, it got reported and cancelled quickly!

i'm not agreeing to the selling of used underwear however listing them and getting a sane person to buy them are two different things.

if as you say they are so obviously used (are they being listed as new?) i would imagine only someone with a screw loose would buy them.

of course anyone whos used the internet for more than a week would prolly know there are plenty of weird peeps about.

David, that is usually what is behind listings for used underwear.....there are people out there who deliberately buy it for their own gratification.   There have been some very creepy listings over the years bought to the attention of the boards.

Used lingerie and stockings, and even used men's socks get listed on ebay at times.

They are listed as pre-loved, and even used in the description. As Bikini costume, bikini stage etc. Maybe because they are around $200+ ebay like them being sold. I just do not like ebay not obeying their own rules and allow violations when they are informed and know this is happening.
