Indeed, rather like their reply to me on Face Book when I dared complain about another postage hike
"We are like any other business, struggling in tough finacial times"
Dry that one out and you could fertilise the lawn

This is an interesting article about the breakdown of his pay and how it equates to about 119 average postal workers on $47k!

Maybe watch the news?
The media are all over Turnbull's criticism of Fahrour's pay.

@rocket2retro wrote:I hope the media point out this fact to Aust Post the next time we get their sob stories about their falling profits.
You mean like all the other times it has been pointed out and completely ignored?
The CEO's obscene remuneration is hardly new news.....it has been discussed in detail on many occasions.
Ordinary letter mail is the only section of AP that has falling profits.... their parcels section is going great guns and more than quadrupled its profits over the previous year thanks to their latest hike in parcel postage rates.

Shocking, in a way, but unfortunately not in a surprising one.
I do love AP trying to refuse to reveal the salary, claiming there was "no public interest", though.

Here's hoping.
Maybe he's grown a pair since Bernadi reduced his chances of getting rolled by one.

And AP continually under-report letter mail income.
Most small parcels under 500g and not too bulky are actually delivered by the letter postie.
This saves AP the $2 it would normally pay the contract courier driver to deliver that parcel.
It automatically raises Parcel Post profits by $2 every time by saving the delivery fee.
Every time this occurs there should be a sum factored to letter mail but do you think that's the way they acount for it?
There was no mention of it in the AP submission to the ACCC in their push to raise letter rates.
All the AP board are good at moving are numbers in a spreadsheet.
