this was on the news today....Aus post managing director gets paid 5.6M salary. according to the news, the AU gov wanted to keep this a secret from AU tax payers.. he is the highest paid public servant in AU..WOW. ...

now i know why my postage costs keeps going up and up.

It's not exactly new news. It is just that this time the Government has taken notice.

Fahour has been obscenely overpaid ever since he took the job as the CEO of a WHOLLY OWNED GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIARY. Not a private logistics business.

As previously noted, his salary should be pegged to other Post Masters General, not private logistics companies.

My PO is open 65 hours a week. Which has nothing to do with the issue.

65? I thought I was doing well having 60. 11hrs a day Mon-Fri and 5 hours on Saturday.

Here in the wilds of suburban Sydney we only have access to the local PO for 43 hours a week....9-5 Monday-Friday and 9-12 on Saturday.

PM Turnbull at AU $522k who is in charge of 25M people.

former US presedent Obama who was in charge of 400 odd million people @AU $527k (only 5k more than AU PM).

president Trump is taking home only $1.00 per annum ..not a typo..thats one dollar cause he said if he became president he wont want any pay but by law he must take the $1.00 amount...

Sounds good, but in reality our cut off time for same day posting is midday as we only have 1 truck per day that picks up from the PO at 1:30pm Mon to Thurs & 5:00pm on Fri.

Interesting info 4green!! Specially Trump only taking a dollar! That increases my belief that he wont stick around ... My prediction is he''ll do something to get himself impeached when he gets bored with playing at President.... specially if he's not being paid & his business vauation goes down!!
