WOW!! Thank you EBay.

Hi Robert,

Thanks for consistently delivering exceptional service to your buyers. We're here to provide you a marketplace where you can sell with confidence. That's why we've taken the following steps during the past month to protect your account:

  • Automatically set 11 of your detailed seller rating(s) to 5 stars from qualifying transactions
  • Prevented 2 eBay Money Back Guarantee request(s) from being opened too early in the past 2 months

We've already updated your seller dashboard to reflect these changes, which are for transactions made during the past year. When we remove transaction defects, your transaction defect rate may not go down if you had transactions that received more than one defect.

We'll continue to improve our monitoring, detection systems, and policies to protect sellers like you. To see these updates, go to your seller dashboard.

My question is: How can I see what transactions do these apply to?

WOW!! Thank you EBay.

it's a load of **bleep**. they haven't done anything to your account at all. every seller receives one of these. I have new account which has only ever had one defect, I just got the same email saying they have removed my defect but guess what it's still there.

oh and now I received one for this account saying

  • Automatically set 147 of your detailed seller rating(s) to 5 stars from qualifying transactions
  • Prevented 2 eBay Money Back Guarantee request(s) from being opened too early in the past 2 months

what rubbish!!!

"Prevented 2 eBay Money Back Guarantee request(s) from being opened too early in the past 2 months"

Interestingly, I've recieved exactly the same message several times over the past 2-3 months - and without any MBG requests being opened ever!

So if ebay was so outstandingly on-the-ball, and prevented them from being opened early, why then were'nt they opened when the time fell due? Why? Because there were'nt any, that's why!

I think you're so right - it's a standardised B/S message they send to all sellers, attempting to lull us into a false sense of security before they blitz us with more 'buyer protection'.

Buyer protection?  More like protection racket!

Removed a defect, I didn't see it. And stopped 10 people from opening a case early, **bleep**? If someone is not happy they should tell me rather than block a complaint, Do they really think sellers except this BS.
