I'd like to sell on international ebay sites, even though I selected 'selling internationally' (i.e. selling 'rest of the world') I'm not sure whether my item appears on the other international ebay sites (i.e UK, US, France, etc..other than my Australian Ebay site). If I want it to appear on the other sites, do I have to add postal costs to these countries, actually register to sell on each country's Ebay site, etc..thanks.

you already have your item listed as "will post internationally" - e.g. $16.10 postage to U.S.A. - so there is no need to do anything more, in my opinion.
Although I was wondering how a sticker can weigh 500g?

Around 25% of my sales are to OS clients. I select to sell to "worldwide" and then add either fixed international post cost to anywhere ( best used with items that can go in a large letter or small parcel ) or add the packed weight and parcel dimensions and select the required postal service in the second section. If this option is selected ebay work out the postage cost on your behalf to different countries.
There is another option to narrow your OS sales down to certain countries using a tick a box section. I sometimes use this for larger items that I have not listed for wordwide sales. If an OS client requests a postage quote, I select their country only for international sales, adding the postage cost that I have quoted the customer. This allows them to buy with the confidence of a fixed postage cost as per quote.
I havnt registered on any other ebay site, but my items obviously show up in searches. I dont have any more problems with international sales than local ones so at this stage will continue to sell OS.

Provided that you have shipping charges listed for each / all countries, your fixed price listings will show on the US and UK sites standard search (and I assume Canada). The European sites will probably require the user to have clicked worldwide search.\
If you list auctions, they will not show on the UK site's standard search but will show on the US site's standard search. UK user's must use worldwide search to see Ebay Australia auction listings, but they will see Australian fixed price listings which include postage costs on their standard search. This is part of a "financial punishment" devised by Ebay Australia, because they deemed auctions to be bad customer service (a few years ago I was actually phoned by Ebay to say that I would be "financially punished" if I continued to list auctions, and this policy was introduced a few months later). As far as I know (a) Ebay is still the world's largest online auction site, and (b) if I started punishing my Ebay customers for using legitimate paid services I would be kicked off the site very quickly.
The US Ebay site is less antagonistic towards auctions.

Curraone,
I would think that 160 centimetre stickers are probably going to have to go parcel rate - that is quite a big item, and I am guessing may have to be rolled into a tube rather than folded..

Hi Kevin, some very interesting comments about auctions there. I still find auctions work very well worldwide and are at least as succesfull as BINS if not more so for international sales.
Many people suggest auctions are finished on ebay, but in the current climate, they still have an important place and still recieve a lot of interest if the item is sought after. I listed a few items last night that I had picked up at yesterdays garage sales and they are already getting quite a few hits, watchers, questions about postage etc.
It probably depends on what people sell, but for "one offs" and collectables, auctions help to generate a bit of urgency in the purchasing decision .
