I often have a quiet mutter under my breath about some of the buyers I deal with or read the posts from other Sellers on here about their experiences with their buyers and roll my eyes and shake my head in empathy but, I've now struck a buyer who tops the lot!
This buyer has bought from me four times now and has bid on an item I currently have listed and would you believe that every time they win an auction they have the audacity to either pay immediately or send me a message to let me know when they'll be making the payment if they can't do it immediately. Even worse, when they tell me the payment will not be immediate they always pay before when they said they would!
Adding to my list of woes with this buyer is the fact that they always let me know when they have received and item I have sent them AND have the affrontery to leave me feedback!
Most appaling of all is that with their last purchases they paid straight away then had the temerity to ask if I could hold off on posting the items in case they won another item that wasn't going to finish for another 7 days so that everything could all be sent in the one satchel!
The courtesy! The consideration! The sheer good mannerdness! It all leaves me almost speechless with delight and a semi renewed faith in other people.
Just wish all of our buyers could be like this one and it's just a shame I can't name them here but, if you read this you'll know who you are and I want to say thank you for making all of our transactions absolutely brilliant for me.

Yep, now if all the buyers had the same audacity - how miserable would our ebay day be'? - just think how many headache pills we wouldnt need♥

Hahaha, love your story !! Yes, isn't it a shame you can't name such wonderful Buyers for all to see. I have a couple of regulars like that, really restores your faith and makes your day. There really are some beautiful people in this community, I have been blown away by two buyers in particular - one sent me a Thank You card, long story, but basically, it was just because I offered what I considered, good customer service and the other actually sent me a gift ! (Oops, maybe I shouldn't admit that here !) Even the personal thank you messages, (aside from Feedback) can turn a bad day into a good one

Only one thing to say - they should be banned.

They probably are or used to be an ebay seller.

So refreshing to see this forum used to COMMEND a buyer, rather than having to bemoan some aspect of poor buyer behaviour !!!
I too have many reliable, courteous and considerate buyers who return again and again to buy from me and its always a pleasure to deal with them.
This rather reminds me of a 'GOOD NEWS' story on the nightly news !! Rare and so nice for a change !
Thank you for bothering to share this with us !

I agree totally, lets give a pat on the back to all those good Ebayers out there.
I have quite a few regular buyers who do the right thing every time, just a pleasure to deal with.
One even left me a positive feedback saying "buy something just for the experience". I was so chuffed!
Why cant they all be that way.

I wish I could say I was surprised by this kind of buyer behaviour, but having been selling on eBay for nigh on 5 years now, I've come across this sort of thing on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some inconsiderate buyers out there that will often distract from all the good ones, but that's only momentarily and more often than not my time is taken up by all the people who buy, pay, communicate respectfully and politely... Some of them even work with me so well that they inspire new products for my store, and I often find myself wishing eBay would provide the tools to help me do something more for all the awesome buyers I seem to attract.
Seriously, it's out of control - some of them are so wonderful I can still remember them fondly months, or even years, after the transaction.

Yes by far the vast majority of our buyers are a pleasure to deal with.
It is just the odd occasion that we strike a bad weed.

My most reliable buyers seem to be the low feedback ones (less than 10). One lady was having trouble with the payment system, so I talked her through it. She was in constant contact and was so worried when she couldn't pay straight away. She gave me glowing feedback and even mentioned how helpful I was, which was nice. Another low feedback buyer sent a message as soon as the auction finished, apologising profusely that it would be the next day before she could pay as she wanted to wait until she got paid. She had bid on other items that hadn't finished, so I told her not to pay until all her auctions had finished. She didn't know she could do that and again, was grateful for the communication. As each auction finished, I'd get another message saying she was still bidding. I don't think she was aware that I could see bidding activity at a glance. I told her that when she was finished, to send a request for total, so I knew she was done and I'd send an invoice reflecting the combined postage cost. I thought she was going to jump through the computer and hug me! She sent me a lovely message when her items arrived, thanking me again and also left glowing feedback and 5 stars for everything.
I wish all buyers were like that! Not like Mr 101 feedbacks who is having an unpaid dispute opened if he hasn't paid by tomorrow. Mr 101 feedback who likes leaving sellers bad feedback that I wrote my concerns about the other night. Mr 101 feedback who has since left a seller another negative.
