Thought you were on an enforced eBay break gizmo, you indicated recently on the boards that you have been suspended from selling on a couple of IDs ?? was it only temporary.
Selling on eBay does offer flexibility which works for me.
I have tried selling both part and full time.I too find full time a bit isolating, and dull, but glad I was able to have the opportunity to focus on growing my online activities for a dedicated period.
I plan to employ somebody part time to do the more mundane, repetitive tasks within the next 12 months whilst I spend more of my time pursuing off-eBay ventures.

The holidays I have been able to take my family on over the years just from selling on eBay.

Nothing but, the difference the $$ generated is making to the lives of a family in another country makes me as happy as a hog in a mud wallow.

Selling online is just repeating the same thing over and over again. I have sold 12000+ items on ebay I have to say it's so boring...
The only reason I stay is I have to fund my university studies (I am 30+ years old starting a new career).
To be fair, it kinda stands to reason that if profit is the only reason someone is on eBay, there's not a lot of chance of finding other things to like or love about it. (That's not a criticism in any way, just thought I'd point out that there's other things that motivate people to be here).
If I really get down to it, it's not eBay I love, it's the job I've created for myself while being here...and it just so happens that for the time being, eBay is the place where I'm able to perform it most successfully.

Love the rare occasion when you cross paths with a genuine Ebay trader - for instance when they refund $1.40 postage excess because they have found out it costs less than the $3.50 paid to send the item. In this dog eat dog world, such moments are to be savoured...

Despite any grizzling I have had with ebay in the past, the last 12 months they have really cleaned up their act. The new storefront leader option is fabulous & everybody should take advantage of it. I only came across it by accident when browsing the site map somewhere. Makes your store look good. I used bannerfans for my leaderboard cut and pasted the final work and bannerfans is free.
Also, the new fee format introduced ages ago, is excellent. 5 years ago it would have cost me hundreds of dollars per month to list and sell 200 items, now it hangs around $100. Plus, after trying many other venues when they were tweaking and doing ghastly things for years, I always ended up back here, because stuff sells here. 8 years of it and I am actually very happy with ebay these days...jilly
