I have an item for sale BIN/Best Offer and it finishes tomorrow.
Using the ebay default search, of Best Match and 50 items per page, my item is sitting on page 8 and has been there or worse for the duration of the listing.
At what point does my item match up to a search?
I have no dsr so I think that might have a lot to do with it and anyone looking to buy an item like mine would probably do a specific search and would find the item (hopefully).
Why are items that are listed in the wrong category coming up on page 2 and other items that are really stretching the imagination as to how they would be a better match than my item sitting on the first 3 pages?
Does the actual item listed have anything to do with Best Match positioning?
It would appear that it doesn't.

Self important lurkers ?? Um lurkers DON'T post hence the reason they're called lurkers.
Best match is a rubbish default & I don't know of a single person who uses it.
As a buyer only,I use ending soonest or price plus postage.

Look like I will be doing a bit of gardening today, weather's not good, but most of my work is indoors.
Back on topic, I have no idea how to assist you Bump, but would listen to all advice given (bar one)

I often use the newly listed search when looking to buy a particular item, otherwise ending soonest.
My question is about the way an item can actually come up in Best Match.
In the spinning and weaving how on earth could jewellery findings be a better match than a loom?
You use a loom to weave but you don't need jewellery findings for weaving.
