What is the protocol for a buyer standing you up on picking item up a couple of times - hasn't paid

After bidding on 8 items separately, the postage was $95- or pick up.  Seller offered to deliver for $65- (all items fragile glass), and sent invoice accordingly.  Buyer rings and says "great".  Seller gets in car, only to have SMS an hour later - didn't realise you were charging for delivery...can I pick up?  Seller says - ok....., buyer says 6pm tonight.  We agree.  Seller rushes home to be there for appontment time, SMS comes 1/2 hour before pick up - can we do tomorrow ?  Sure says seller, they agree on 1.30pm latest.  Buyer never turns up, doesn't respond to email, sms or phone.  Seller annoyed as 3 times let down now.  No payment, no response.  How long do I wait as a seller to lodge problem?

What is the protocol for a buyer standing you up on picking item up a couple of times - hasn't paid

This is sooooo annoying when buyers do this. Had a buyer do this to me recently. I messsaged her told her that it was becoming too much of a fuss and requested her to agree to a sale cancellation. By getting them to agree to a cancellation you get your final valuation fee back. Another way to try and recoup fees is open an unpaid item dispute which can be done after 4 days. It will then run for another 4 days. If sale still hasnt been completed you can then go ahead and close case and receive your fee credit.

It's sad when Buyers do that to you. I always welcome Pick up and fortunately 99.99% have been great.  You try to do the right thing and get a kick in the guts for it. 😞

Yep definitely open an unpaid item.

Any stuffing around doesn't even warrant any feedback for buyer either unless you feel like leveng them any with a not so positive spin.

They stuffed you around 3 times after they agreed to your $65 personal delivery charge.

Agree with danka, BUT, seen as though the seller admitted they agreed to PICK UP this then excludes both parties from paypal or ebay protection. Pick up items do allow the buyer to simply walk away of not happy with item and a Non Paying Buyer claim can not be started because all the buyer needs to say is yes i saw the item and i was not happy with it so i walked away from it.

I am not sure that that is correct, unless it is a motor vehicle.

It is correct, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a motor vehicle. It applies to any pick item.

Buyer never turned up to view items - so how can she be unhappy with them?

panza, if you open and close the necessary Non Paying Bidder dispute the negative will be removed.
