I have not been on Ebay in a while to sell stuff. I have in the past with much success so anyway on with my post.
I have never had issues or problems. However in the last week or two I listed an item for sale and someone made a winning bid but 4 days on they haven't paid for the bid or offered any kind of contact. I have sent one politely worded message to ask about payment but no response at all.
Are there many instances of this kind of thing on here?
Have started a dispute process about this so will see where that leads, and if nothing happens will cancel and possibly relist the item.
How common is this kind of thing?
I've been told this is happening more and more on here.

yep every buyer only has 100% feedback
and this is 1 of the reasons i am against people having more than 1 id because if they have only 1 id and they sell well if they are naughty on buying they will prob also br naughty on selling so there feedback will be seen

@joethenuts wrote:nothing happens to there feedback score you cant give a neg to a buyer ,but they will get a strike against them, and i think 2 strikes and they are penalised
Your answer is only partly right. Buyers are not penalised by eBay for having 2 or more strikes. The only time it affects their buying is if they encounter a seller who has buyer requirement blocks in place. Buyers can have hundreds, even thousands of strikes and are still allowed to keep "buying". If you look at the people on this account that I'm "following", it will show that at least one of those has hundreds of non payments against them and eBay keeps letting them stuff sellers around.
There should be a 3 strikes and you're out, but sadly, that will never happen. All we can do is protect ourselves from these people by having blocks in place to stop them buying from us.

Joe - that is really letting the sellers know that non-payers are a risk. They could always hit them with a wet lettuce leaf....How do lousy buyers get their comeuppance?
They don't. They can have hundreds of strikes against them and still be allowed to buy. Make sure you have buyer requirement blocks in place to stop the serial pests. You can set them up here http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences
Sellers can't see how many strikes they have against their account. From the outside it's very deceptive because as Joe said, they can only have 100% feedback. It's also a policy violation to leave a false positive, so it's often impossible to tell if they have a history of not paying. That's why it pays to have the blocks in place to stop the pests.
Don't forget to add this buyer to your blocked buyer list so they can't do it again to you http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

Hey why did you quote my post in the middle of your post?
I'm not the one at fault here.

My apologies....I didn't mean to do that. Totally my fault and I will be more careful in future.
