Who Are The Buyers Giving Defects? My Experience Only.

This is only from my own personal experience as a seller and may not be the general rule. Our bad buyers are only around 5%, so it would not matter to us in the greater scheme of things, but it certainly does matter to Ebay, so that is why we now have to BLOCK every BUYER who DEFECTS us,even if they do leave POSITIVE feedback. Why keep buying ... and keep defecting us?

Sad to say, ... these are our problem buyers:

1. People receiving carer's pensions for looking after someone else who is disabled.

2. Disabled or very ill [not the aged] people who are on pensions.

3. Those on pensions for 'mental illness.' [Ebay staff are known to have particular empathy with these buyers. :)]

4. Unemployed.

5. Buyers 1-4 who take revenge using multiple accounts, usually because we refused to allow them to scam us.

6. Sellers who feel that we may be competing with them and feel annoyed. Usually spend 1.25.

In regards to 1-5, they've got time on their hands. They may or may not end up leaving Neg. or even defecting us, but even if they do not do that, they can still be a nuisance. They will usually spend an average of 1.25 and then whine for days about when the item will be arriving, sending "I Haven't Recieved My Item' emails after a couple of days. They will nearly always try to get a refund outside of the Paypal or Ebay system, so their multiple scams, are not left on record, except through their emails to the seller.

And Ebay supports this activity, because sellers are now defected when cases are opened at Paypal by buyers. Am I correct?

Not much we can do about who shops with us, and we would not want to discriminate against the above buyers either because there are good buyers who are in the 1-4 category. But our BLOCKED list grows longer by the day. My experiemce also shows that DEFECTS don't mean anything to other buyers, since our sales are still doing fine. BUT once Ebay hides our inventory again, the DEFECTS will mean something, because our sales will drop. Sometimes we do make mistakes [which we try to rectify], but mostly DEFECTS have nothing to do with who we are as a seller, and everything to do with our REFUSING liars and scammers.

We also now immediately BLOCK BUYERS who send rude, aggressive or idiotic emails when asking a question about an item.

The GOOD NEWS is that 95% of our BUYERS are AWESOME, but Ebay's SYSTEM, means that the 5% can IMPACT our selling.

But I was curious about the comment about pensioners and such. How would a seller even know what most people did for a living, or even what age/sex they were? Even in a dispute, you might not know those things about the buyer?

Already answered. I know because when they are screaming me down in emails, they tell me all about it ...

How about this ... I continue to bulk buy from sellers I've been dealing with for the past .... actually, since 2005, with no problems and I continue to please dozens of happy buyers every week ... and you can go and land one someone else's posts in order to spread your germs.

Re: Who Are The Buyers Giving Defects? My Experience Only.

The buyer is a proud practising satanist who left me Neg because I am a follower of Jesus Christ. As stated, it had nothing to do with the item.

As for your pic ... there is no point in my discussing it in this kind of forum. You wouldn't get it, ...

Re: Who Are The Buyers Giving Defects? My Experience Only.

If anything, your ANGRY post shows that you must have treated sellers the same way. otherwise, there would be no need to take it personally,

You pull the same self pitying stunt as those few nasty buyers I have dealt with on carers pensions or pensions themselves for being ill ... oh poor me etc etc while being as nasty as you like to other people ...

Clearly, you have too much time on your hands.

You might like to try life in a country that doesn't give out hundreds of dollars a fortnight, so you can sit on your fat a___ all week, and stalk innocent people on Ebay forums for days and weeks on end ...

You need to spend your time more constructively , such as looking after the person that the government is paying you to care for.

Re: Who Are The Buyers Giving Defects? My Experience Only.

fabuLOUS-gift-emporium,

Please, please, please put me on your blocked buyers list (i'm serious dude).

I would hate to find out sometime down the road that I have purchased anything from you, and contributed to your sales. You are just a horrible person and there is no place on ebay for someone as horrible as you. I sincerly hope that your next 100 sales are all to mentally ill pensioners that receive a carer's pension and can't get a job, that want to compete against you but have time on their hands.

Once again,

BLOCK ME!

Re: Who Are The Buyers Giving Defects? My Experience Only.

I cannot believe your ignorance!!! My so called problem buyers that I have blocked have been working people, young professionals, not sick, disabled or mentally ill people. People who are "too" busy to read my whole listings. Everytime I see where I have an address to a business I know how the sale is going to end. With the person saying they didn't recieve it. Which I know is completely untrue, and have been able to prove they are lying. Yet I give up hope I still go through with the sale because everyone is different.

I am not going to judge people on the basis of their status in society, even though my sales experience has formed this patteren I will not go around saying, "the problem buyers on Ebay are all young professionals who want to rip off sellers etc etc etc" like some closed minded ignorant fool. No I prefer to keep an open mind and to keep on giving every person a chance instead of labeling them all as "defect buyers". This is the sort of judging/labeling people that I can't stand in this country, and for some reason Australians either think this is ok or somehow needed or something else. When it is just ugly, cruel, and degrading.

I don't understand what happened to our society, where are the Aussies who believe in lending a hand to the down and out, helping a mate, getting our hands dirty, etc etc. Instead all I hear these days are Aussies passing unfair judgements on the lower, or disabled, or refugees of this country. Recently 2 disabled people were bashed on a bus for no reason what so ever. I guess instead of living in a country where you say G'day Mate to a stranger has finally disappeared, and now live in a country where kicking the down and out is acceptable.

OP While I dont agree with your buyer "profiling" much has already been said about that I dont need to add to it.

However what I would like to say is I applaud you for your efforts in  the rescue & support of animals. A very worthy and selfless cause.

As an animal lover I take my hat off to you and others who actively devote much time effort and money to protect the "voiceless".

Thank you. 🙂
